Today, a single pre-market stock print set off millions of dollars in liquidations on Hyperliquid.
At 07:00 UTC+8, an anomalous low-liquidity print appeared as Korea’s NXT pre-market opened.
That price was reflected in the external price inputs used for the $SKHX market. The mark price moved from approximately $1,131 to $955, while SKHX traded as low as $927.
The sudden move triggered a liquidation cascade:
• 959 long accounts recorded liquidation-related closes
• The backstop liquidator absorbed approximately 27,100 SKHX from 406 addresses, worth $26.26M
• The largest account realized a $2.05M loss
• The four largest losses totaled $5.74M
As the liquidation system absorbed these long positions, profitable shorts were auto-deleveraged near $931.36:
