16,000 women will run in today's #BostonMarathon. It's the 50th anniversary of women officially being allowed to race.
But 5 years prior, in 1967, a college student faked her name, wore a hoodie, and ran the most important 26.2 miles in the marathon's history.
Here's her story:
I have this really fun, poignant, backstory RP idea for tonight's @DugongsD, but as I write it I am worrying that it's too self-indulgent. How do y'all make sure your characters have depth but don't take up all the air?
I played in person DnD at a friend's house last night for the first time in like two years. I forgot how restorative it was to eat pizza and sit around the table rolling dice and telling stories.
My favorite house rule. If you role a nat 1 on a save against damage, you take double damage (analogous to taking 2x damage on a nat 20)
Does your Druid make potions? Why limit yourself to glass vials when nature has these!
The diversity of eggs in Stick Insects (Phasmatodea) is astounding (photo from researchgate.net/publication…)
Apparently I'm the only one in @DugongsD who doesn't know what Red Dwarf is. They were aghast
Any tips for playing DnD with people from work where there are different power structures? I'm a non-tenured professor who will be the DM for several tenured profs at the table.

Hello, I’m Kat! I’m a freelance game designer (and mom) and have had the privilege of working with Hasbro, WotC, Larian Studios and a number of wonderful people in the #TTRPG space. #WhatAGameDevLooksLike
This is the dog, and the squeaky toy, that have teamed up in such a loud fashion that we have had to invent cannonical reasons why this sound exists in @DugongsD
Ok so we have long known the major character classes in #DnD have had SOME sort of relationship, but I wanted to see what the data would support (1/saddle up)
In case you want to do this at home I used the PHB for raw data, and used PAST free software (palaeontologia-electronica.e…)
