How can Tom Schmid of @ColumbusZoo be so mean, cruel, and intentionally harmful to my autistic son, and me for daring to speak up for him, if he himself has a child with Asperger Syndrome? I just don't get it. @PorterWright @zoos_aquariums help it make any sense?
So @ColumbusZoo guest services read my LinkedIn last night… in which I shared that I too am autistic… awoke up and decided to ban me cuz I dared to speak up for my autistic son. @PorterWright team must have advised them to ignore my disability as well as Ian’s. @zoos_aquariums
We are so fortunate to NOT be represented on this list. I busted my ass the last 7 years at my previous job. Instead of buying dumb shit, I paid off our house. It was not the easiest decision, but by far the most responsible I've made financially.

I was today years old when I discovered the French absolutely optical-train-mog the sidewinder with their approach to IR seekers...
I was fascinated with the THAAD seeker that was circulating on the web these past days, and i went down the tism rabit hole on periscope seekers.
I found a paper with the actual sketch of the mirror assembly of MICA and the Matra Magic, and I managed to reverse-engineer the gimbal assembly with an optimization algorithm.
10/10 would recommend.

As an avid shooter, 2A defender and lover of all things target practice, this is how it is done.
The people I shoot with come up with some very creative ways to try to hit moving targets safely. It’s an intricate part of training that is needed if you are going for accuracy.

Turkish companies led by Turaç, together with Istanbul Technical University, have developed the “Dron Kalkanı” counter-drone system, described as a mobile robotic tower equipped with two 12-gauge Derya MAX shotguns and passive electro-optical and acoustic sensors.
According to the developers, the system can autonomously detect aerial targets at distances of 600–800 m (1,969–2,625 ft) and engage them at around 150 m (492 ft). The system uses Sterling cartridges designed to create a spread of metal projectiles.
The developers reportedly plan to begin mass production by the end of the year. According to Btvt, the system can move between positions but fires only while stationary. The source also notes that operation against multiple successive drones while moving has not been demonstrated.
