I don't tweet about games a lot, but look at this incredible art-style! (I'm a sucker for anything that looks like Cuphead.)

The excellent #akeyamasou conjures frenetic energy on #Machinedrum and #Monomachine, with flickers of glitchiness amid bursts of melody. Check out more via his Bandcamp: bit.ly/3S1BO1E

In beta-testing Iota II, I found it to be an ingenious device. It can be many things, including a spectral FX box, granulizer, and concatenative synthesizer. As RD demonstrates below, it can be chaotic and unexpectedly fun.
Iota II is an advanced and in-depth experimental visual workshop for multi-sampling. It is a highly open-ended tool that lets you approach sampling from many directions and use cases, both simple and complex. It centers on a visual spectrogram of a sample, where playback sequences can be drawn as 2D points; each point represents a playback and filtering position that matches the spectrogram (X being the sample position and Y being the filtering position). You can create multiple layers of playback sequences across samples, each with unique playback/effect/other settings. You can trigger playback in a variety of ways, and it supports multiple modes, algorithms, and settings (including physics). This allows you to use the instrument in so many ways: a precise multisample chopper, a concatenative synthesizer, many forms of granular synth, various types of spectral and resampling for wild textures, rhythms that can span many genres, and really many more use cases yet to be discovered; an endless rabbit hole BEAST of a sampler.
Lots of cool/weird stuff going on with people modifying Elektron firmware. Apparently, there's a Digitone II OS that allows 500+ BPM, multi-directional sequencing, and an improved chorus.
Another has brought to life my wish: ability to turn your Model:Cycles to a M:Samples.
Cool!
Introducing CPU Software. Two instruments modelled from the schematics, measured against real hardware.
🎛️ CPU Quad - 1989 rack effects emulation. 5 reverbs, delay, pitch, EQ.
🎹 CPU Micron - 1983 monosynth & sequencer, talks to hardware both ways.

Elektron Tonverk users: A new OS update is out! Includes preliminary Overbridge streaming to/from your DAW and a host of other improvements.
Catching up to Digitone 2, they added velocity and keytracking modulation!
You can now easily swap FX order, too.

FMS Gameboy Groovebox Cartridge:Limited edition physical release coming soon: sonicstate.com/news/2026/08/…
Haha, I just realized what I incorrectly stated that the old-school sound is "anti-aliasing." Of course, what I meant to say is, this technique allows you to unlock the crunchy, gritty, ALIASED sound of Wavefinder!
