Presence isn't about concentration. It's about letting go of everything that isn't this moment.

I talk about my article for @pianistmagazine , The Listening Pianist: the difference between sitting at the piano to prove yourself, and sitting down simply to listen. That shift—from judgment to presence—can relax the body, open phrasing and let music breathe.

The music I care about most doesn't show you something perfect. It shows you something honest. And that's much harder to find.

Full presence is increasingly rare. Live music is one of the last places where it's still expected. Still possible. Still felt.

Every city I visit changes how I hear music. Some cities make everything feel faster. Others make you want to go deeper.

A room full of strangers choosing to pay attention to the same thing at the same time. That's what a concert is. That's why it matters.
