people are actively trying to gaslight you into thinking charlie kirk was a well intentioned good faith debater with moderate beliefs who just wanted to hear people out, when there reams of audiovisual data completely contradicting all of this as objectively false revisionism.
the most offensive part of all of this is that charlie was a horrible, just truly bad like hilariously incompetent at debate, hence why he primarily sought out amateurs where he could harvest footage to favorably edit into clips to post online. it was a grift.

charlie kirk opposed the civil rights act, called george floyd a scumbag, said he’d be worried abt black pilots & that he’d force his daughter to carry a pregnancy to term if she was raped.
he shouldn’t have been killed but he def was an extremist.
All that Charlie ever did was have conversations with people. He didn’t insult anyone. He made arguments. He debated. He wasn’t an extremist in any way. Everyone who knew Charlie personally loved him. That’s the kind of guy he was. And they still killed him. I am furious and heartbroken in equal measure. I cannot put into words how I feel. Maybe that is for the best.

Let's be clear: these are calls for mass political violence. They are not really related to Kirk's assassination, about which nothing is known. It is people who have been looking for a reason to call for Democrats to be killed and their cities bombed, and found a pretext.
Deeply disturbing rhetoric is spreading from influential MAGA figures (including the President of the United States and the owner of this website). They have no idea who the shooter is, and many of these same people mocked Democrats when they were victims of political violence in the past. In moments like this, we should be lowering the temperature and finding our shared humanity — not fueling more hatred and violence.
I know hard data doesn’t mean shit to folks who are illiterate or allergic to facts or who just shape their own reality with their own delusions but there ya go
