I've seen a lot of discussion the past few days about the declining participation in the MCS, and to me it really boils down to two things.. 1. MUT is too expensive. People do not want to play FIFTEEN games that last an hour each to qualify for a tournament where they could lose in the first round. They do not want to use every coin they have to build the best possible team they can and then sell it off hours later for a massive loss. They are spending hours for something they will most likely get legitimately get nothing out of. The overwhelming majority of people will LOSE millions of coins and dozens of hours just by trying. Every tournament should be double elimination. The MCS should not be ran through a third party website. It should be accessible in game like it was when it first started. You should be given rewards to spend your time playing and competing just like it's as if you were playing H2H seasons. 2. Stop hosting qualifiers and eliminations on weekends during football. It is severely killing interest in the e-sport. The live events are held on Tuesdays for a reason. Competing with CFB and NFL viewership is self-inflicted adversity. I can't imagine how popping Twitch would be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays if everyone was live with drops streaming ladders or elims.
