Contemporary art is an excess of tastes, including the pluralistic. Classic images of the infinite - God, nature, fate, life, death. Now seemingly the “infinite plurality of interpretations” is added - but it doesn’t impose any specific ideology, or theory, or faith on the viewer
In a world where no one power is deemed greater than the other - modern art and everything that has followed is an expression of this belief.
Every thesis is suppose to be confronted by its antithesis and perfectly balanced so they sum to zero. There is comfort in this at the 1,000 ft view.
