The idea that there will one day be a gpt-137 makes me depressed. Why can’t companies use the year instead of a random number. At least a year gives you context on when it became available.

The government is pushing for data centers. This means they want them. This is not going to be good for society. 9/11 already got the patriot act. It will have to be some sort of staged “Chinese aggression” where if we don’t have data centers to counter their AI army we will all die.
All so mass surveillance can be achieved. I don’t understand a collective people’s desire to need to know what everyone is doing.

I bought some random dude's first and last name as a dot org domain years ago because I came across a post on Facebook where this guy was arguing with someone about citations and claimed that Wikipedia is the defacto TRUTH and this other person pointed out that it's editable by anyone and can sometimes not be factual, and this guy then proceeded to follow up with "It's on a DOT ORG SITE, they are required by law to only post factual information"
So I registered his name and put "First Last is an idiot" in an empty page as an h1, deployed it and replied
"Must be factual, it's on a dot org"
I predict going with SLM will be the future. I think there will be SLMO (small language model orchestrators) and they will get updates like software that then maintain the SLMs on device. But the data centers will continue because that is really just the government pushing for mass surveillance.
