Today my oncologist said it looks like the chemo is working, and that we are, in fact, going to aim for surgery when in done with treatment.
(In August, when we mentioned surgery, he asked “who told you that was an option?”)
So, good news.
I feel like at this point I should say that my wife loves that I’m a Tolkien nerd and was very supportive during my Master’s program at @SignumU she just wanted me to wait until the episode was over for the lecture.
My wife: So, wait, who’s Morgoth?
Me: LET’S DISCUSS THE MUSIC OF THE AINUR
My wife: oh no
Me: FIRST ERU MADE THE AINUR I HAVE PREPARED SOME SLIDES
My wife: I just want to watch the show
Trying to watch Rings of Power and people keep calling me on the phone.
Hi mom, yes, chemo sucks, hiccups, baclofen, I’M TRYING TO WATCH TV
The fun thing about chemo is you find yourself saying things like “at least the vomiting made the hiccups go away.”
One of these medications–I don't know if it's the chemo or the anti-nausea–is causing hiccups. Persistent, annoying hiccups.
My Watch seems to be counting the hiccups as movement, though, so I'm laying here closing some activity rings.
