Here’s a sad version of “Dance With a Stranger.” We’re sad because our tour with @jackjohnson is over. #SadGirlSadurdays (But happy that our European tour is coming up very soon!) #bananastand

Big Tech giants warned there's a "limited window" to prepare for AI-enabled cyberattacks & asked for increased government investments.
These are the very same companies who have spent millions to weaken and block critical safeguards.
Their hypocrisy is disgusting.

Elon Musk, the wealthiest man alive, pays the same amount of taxes into Social Security as someone who makes $184,000 a year.
Americans across party lines and pretty much all walks of life think that doesn't make a lot of sense. - @SenSanders

That state which transcends speech and thought is silence; it is meditation without mental activity. Subjugation of the mind is meditation; deep meditation is eternal speech. Silence is ever-speaking; it is the perennial flow of ‘language’.

61 years ago, President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare and Medicaid into law.
Now, Republicans are trying to dismantle both programs.
Democrats must respond by fighting for Medicare for All.

It's not a coincidence that trauma survivors who were conditioned to block out fear & pain, also tend to block signals of hunger (or fullness), exhaustion, & other signals from our body the function of which is to keep us alive.

The richest man in America created "DOGE" to steal from the most vulnerable people in America. Pure evil.
If enacted, the rule change will require intellectually disabled young people as well as very elderly people to file multiple 20-page reports if they want to continue their benefits even at the reduced level.

Right now, the amount that the ultra-rich pay in is capped.
As more and more people recognize that the way to make Social Security stronger is to scrap that cap, billionaires and their allies are panicking.

Republicans often say we “can’t afford” Social Security.
Their solution?
Cut benefits for workers who’ve paid into the program for our entire working lives.
They never suggest that the wealthiest people should pay into Social Security all year long, just like the rest of us.

I believe the world does not understand or adequately acknowledge the impact of events, traumatic & otherwise, on humans, nor does it teach or offer us effective tools & strategies to manage that impact.
"Resilience" is not a tool. "Suck it up" is not a strategy.
