Part 2 to my search for @reformparty_uk Glasgow North candidate Helen Burns. These are the possibilities to who I think she might actually be.
I finally hit a 5 plate (220kg/485lb) deadlift. Been wanting to hit this for years now. Had a rare day where everything in the lab went to plan so it was a perfect day to go for it. Had to get the straps out as I've no chalk at this gym. #scientistswholift

🎉 Big congrats to Matthew Culbert @culbert96 and his supervisory team for an impressive achievement! Matthew passed his PhD viva yesterday. Well done! 👏 #PhDSuccess
Last set of deadlifts is now paused deadlifts to help with that first part of the lift. 140kg x 7 with some attempt to control the negative. #scientistswholift
The post thesis submission gym sessions are so much better. The weight of the thesis was the heaviest weight of them all. #scientistswholift #phdchat

An excellent accolade of the amazing work we have been doing at MetalloBio to combat AMR.

There’s been lots of discussion about our amazing former PhD student Dr Kirsty Smitten recently. Kirsty is developing world-leading research into a new class of antibiotics while fighting an incredibly rare & aggressive form of heart cancer. Here's a short 🧵on an inspiring woman
We've got a new communication looking at the in vitro assessment of self-assembling peptide hydrogels for nucleus augmentation on the way and you can see the preprint here! @iMBE_Leeds @BealesLab @mengomarlene @Dr_D_Miles @AndrewRDixon

PhD lab work has come to its final whistle (I think) and what a few seasons its been. Achieved some incredible career highlights with only 24mg of peptide spilled. Looking (centre) forward to starting my new role in Sheffield and getting right back in the lab.
