During the in-flight press conference, the pope warned against the use of Christianity by far-right political groups, while calling on the church to be active in seeking to prevent extremism.
The pope’s comments came in response to a question about the rise of extremist parties in Germany as he flew back from making a major speech on European Unity at the French-German border.
