Beginning August 4th, the Department of Social Services has partnered with the state’s Community Action Agencies (CAA) to distribute the one-time $300 grocery card to those who have lost their SNAP benefits due to federal work rules eligibility changes.

DSS is working with CAAs to distribute the one-time $300 grocery card to those who have lost their SNAP benefits due to recent changes in the rules of eligibility. Details of what you will need to do to access this benefit are being determined.
When this benefit is available we will let the public know how they can request it. If you need immediate food assistance, visit 211ct.org or ctfoodshare.org .
