Nicolas Cage bought two castles, four yachts and a dinosaur skull that turned out to be stolen. Then he owed the IRS about $14 million. He blamed his manager. His manager said Cage signed every check.
In the video below, 60 Minutes asks him where the money went. His pet crow starts squawking before he can answer.
In 2009 Cage sued his business manager Samuel Levin for $20 million. He said Levin put his money into risky real estate and failed to pay his taxes.
Levin fired back in court. He said he had warned Cage he needed to earn $30 million a year just to keep up his lifestyle.
His filing listed what Cage bought in 2007 alone: three homes for over $33 million, 22 cars including 9 Rolls-Royces, and 47 pieces of art and “exotic” items. Over the years: 15 homes. The castles were in England and Germany.
The dinosaur skull cost $276,000 at auction. It had been smuggled out of Mongolia. He gave it back.
“I was over-invested in real estate,” Cage says in the video. “It wasn’t because I spent $80 on an octopus. The real estate market crashed and I couldn’t get out in time.”
He paid the IRS back. He never filed for bankruptcy. He moved to Las Vegas and worked non-stop, three or four movies a year.
“Work was always my guardian angel,” he says.
Who was really to blame: the manager who invested the money, or the man who signed every check?

Thank you to President Trump for the distinguished privilege of serving as White House Press Secretary.
Serving President Trump and the American people at this critical 250-year mark is the honor of a lifetime. President Trump has shown America that we can be great again, and he works to effectuate that greatness every single day. His confidence is a true privilege, and his leadership is a blessing to this country.
The work ahead is to continue delivering strong results for our Country and communicating to the American people the major wins that this Administration is making every single day. I look forward to working with the White House press corps, and with reporters across the country, to get that record out. Following the fabulous Karoline Leavitt is a high standard, and one worth meeting.
God bless President Trump, and God bless America.

Millions of people throw away their dead AirPods every year and pay $250 for a new pair.
Apple actually has a specific "Battery Service" policy that gets you fresh replacement pods for a fraction of the price. But most consumers have no idea it exists.
Here is the exact script:

And splashdown!
America is back in the business of sending astronauts to the Moon and bringing them home safely.
Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy did an outstanding job. These talented astronauts inspired the world and represented their space agencies and nations as humanity’s ambassadors to the stars.
This was a test mission, the first crewed flight of SLS and Orion, pushing farther into the unforgiving environment of space than ever before, and it carried real risk. They accepted that risk for all we stood to learn and for the exciting missions that follow, as we return to the lunar surface, build a Moon base, and prepare for what comes next.
And they were not alone. The entire NASA workforce, our commercial and international partners, and the hopes and dreams of people all over the world were with them. The astronauts know it, and you should too. This mission would not have been possible without you.
Congratulations. Artemis II, mission accomplished.
