We had such a badass git it gurl gang at @JSConfAU and @cssconfau πππ
(And bonus JS sequins, because of course)
Jackets by @sailorhg, who is amazing.
P.S. Saying it again, professional portraits for speakers and MCs is such an A+ thing to do π

Just watched "V8 internals for JavaScript developers" by @mathias at @cssconfau
Totally recommended! It contains a lot of interesting insights about perfoptimizations of v8 and things like element types or the difference between holey and packed arrays.

Feeling inspired & in good place after @cssconfau18. So many excellent, practical talks that you can takeaway & start implementing in your work.
Thank you to the event organisers, volunteers, sponsors & all that made @cssconfau possible to run! You guys rock! π€π

So again it's a little later than I was intending (in my defence I was completely rebuilding the back end of my blog), but I finally released my recap of @cssconfau last month

It was such a weird feeling to watch one of my friends on stage at a conference, but so proud of how amazing she was! Congrats on the awesome talk @stringy !
Sneaky product placement by @fendersperth though π xitter.cf/cssconfau/status/98385β¦

This talk was a definitely highlight for me from the whole conference. Diana does a great job of highlighting the often hidden complexities of colour and how it is okay to take a few steps to get to where you want to be. βΊοΈ xitter.cf/cssconfau/status/98385β¦
A fascinating journey through the world of color and design systems. π¨

Unconventional paths can make a developer! One of our highlights from @cssconfau was @IvanaMcConnell who spoke about being fluid in both paths and roles. Another fav was @amyngyn at @JSConfAU on hacking into concerts!

After #cssconfau18 and #jsconfau18 I wrote an internal report in the company summarising the talks, the chats, and the vibe. It was 6000 words long and I don't know who's gonna read them fully π
