Beryl's upper lip curled almost involuntarily in disgust of his attempts at defusing the situation. The right to understand was something that had to be earned and this man was a fool if he thought he could do so by treating her like an abandoned canine. 1/2

"I was given a file on you - half an inch thick - and nowhere in it did it say you would be so spinless," she taunts. If he wasn't going to engage she would have to force him to. "I have to wonder if this is really the same Zen that prevailed over the Legendary Super Saiyan." 2/2
The corners of her lips tug at her to smile at Darnell's charming acceptance of what is a fundamentally silly trade off but she cannot seem to let them have their way. "That remains to be seen, but I'm glad you are in agreement," she replies. 1/2

"Now we must make haste. Of the little I do know about this is that it makes an excellent tracking device." 2/2

in the rebirth redesign of the batman character, huntress, who has always used a crossbow as her weapon, she had a version of a crossbow attached to her gauntlet which is probably what beryl would have cuz it’s cool

Everyone she was ever close to in the past sleeps in a grave and her relationship with Salza is a terrible substitute for genuine connection. It’s nights like these she longs for a companion but she’s unsure if she can truly love anymore.

"I would like you to use your...appliances," she waves her hand flippantly at the cabinets of machinery lining the walls of the workspace, "to help me gain a better understanding of how this thing in my chest works." 1/3

The glowing power core that set squarely where he heart should have been had always been a mystery to Beryl. She was aware that if it was broken or turned off she would cease to live, but the specifics in which it kept her alive had always been kept under lock and key. 2/3

If she just knew how it functioned maybe there was...an exploit of some kind... "If you can do for me that I would appreciate it greatly." 3/3
Several of the stakes dislodged themselves from where they spawned and hurtle toward Zen as she unsheathed a blade bearing the same colored energy around her fist. "The freedom to choose mercy was taken from me long ago. I am under no illusion of that fact," 1/2

Beryl stated while pointing the tip of the blade at her target. "I do not expect you to understand." 2/2
