Get Optimum: A New Era for Ethereum Network Communication @get_optimum has announced that it has emerged from stealth development and gone live on Ethereum mainnet. Why does this matter? In blockchain, the bottleneck is not always computing power. Thousands of validators need to receive blocks and attestations on time for the network to operate efficiently. Optimum’s solution is mump2p, which uses RLNC technology. This approach aims to improve data propagation between nodes by encoding data into mathematical combinations. The goal is to reduce unnecessary duplication and use existing internet infrastructure more efficiently. The reported launch figures are impressive: • Approximately $3.4 billion in TVB • Around 22,000 validators and 1.42 million ETH • An average of up to 3x faster block propagation These figures were shared in Optimum’s livestream recap and should not be treated as independently verified results. What does this mean for validators? Optimum operates as a sidecar alongside existing consensus and execution clients. According to the recap, installation takes around 20 minutes, and the service is free for validators. Instead of replacing the existing libp2p layer, it runs in parallel with it. What about the economic impact? Faster block propagation could influence opportunities in areas such as MEV and arbitrage. However, it does not guarantee higher staking yields. The actual impact depends on network conditions and real-world performance. On the community side, Optimum also announced Turbo Cards, a soulbound NFT campaign planned to be limited to 999 cards, obtainable through partner events and AMAs. What’s next? Strengthening its presence on Ethereum and expanding to other blockchain networks. Optimum’s ambition goes beyond faster blocks. It aims to make blockchain communication more efficient. Afterward, we listened to the helpers as they shared news and updates regarding Rialo, and those who had questions were able to ask them. Seismic Maker: A Tool for the Seismic Ecosystem When exploring the Seismic ecosystem, we should look beyond the technology itself and discover the tools being built by the community. One project that caught my attention is Seismic Maker. Link: seismicmaker.netlify.app/ Seismic Maker is a web based tool connected to the Seismic community. Its simple interface and available options make it worth exploring. But why do I think this platform deserves attention? First, the growth of an ecosystem depends on more than the technological development of its main network. Tools that improve the user experience, solutions that support content creation, and community driven projects can also play an important role in its expansion. The Seismic Maker interface includes two language options: TR and EN. These options provide support for using the interface in Turkish and English. The page also contains several text fields and a control displaying a percentage value. To understand exactly how these features work, we need to explore and test the tool ourselves. From my perspective, the most important point is discovering the tools being developed around Seismic and understanding the potential use cases they could offer to the community. Seismic is an ecosystem focused on privacy oriented financial applications and blockchain infrastructure. Within an ecosystem like this, initiatives designed to improve the user experience can attract a wider audience when developed with clear goals and practical functionality. Of course, evaluating a tool requires more than looking at its appearance. We also need to examine its actual features, ease of use, and the value it provides to users.
