Dubai's regulator, VARA, has ordered Kucoin to immediately stop all its unlicensed activities.
Kucoin was providing services to Dubai residents without approval and was giving false information regarding its licensing status.
VARA has warned investors that working with unlicensed entities can create financial and legal risks.

I got hacked!🚨
A few days back, a guy reached out to me on TG. I knew him from one of the events. He seems super legit, and we were in a convo about him starting a new project and would be happy to have me in Content.
I scheduled a call through his calendar link. On D-Day, there was no link shared in advance; he gave me a link to the meeting at that moment and asked me to join. When I clicked, it asked me to install the application on my laptop. (I was so stupid that I could not realise that it might be a rat trap, which it was).
And my entire laptop got hacked. My Binance account, my Metamask, even my Twitter, everything.
I was crying in tears! Sharing this so this does not happen to you. Be alert! Not everyone around here looks out for you; some people are waiting for you to make a mistake so they can rob your lifetime savings.

Legalise Virtual Digital Assets (like Crypto, Stablecoin) in India. Don’t drive them offshore.
India taxes VDAs (virtual digital asset) like they are legal. But regulate it like they are illegal.
India taxes cryptocurrency at 30% Capital Gain Tax + 1% TDS; yet offers no legal recognition, no investor protection, no dedicated AML (anti-money laundering) framework.
The result is:
• 12 crore Indians invest via overseas platforms
• ₹4.8 lakh crore in VDA trading moved offshore
• 73% of India's trading volume shifted to foreign exchanges
• 180 Indian crypto startups relocated abroad
The answer is : compliance in India. Give VDAs clear asset class status in India.
A clear domestic regulatory sandbox, with strong AML guardrails can bring activity back onshore, protect investors, improve compliance and add ₹15,000–20,000 crore in annual tax revenue.
Let us not fear innovation, let us regulate it.
Prohibition is not protection, Regulation is protection.
