Double Dash Deluxe, a mod that adds proper netcode for online play to Mario Kart Double Dash, is having its first online beta test October 22nd. The mod is being developed primarily by Stebler. It will add multiple other features to enhance the base game.

I have analyzed Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's code and found no evidence that green shell "smart bounce" is a thing. It might've been the biggest placebo effect of all time, unless someone can prove me wrong
