A lot of “Black Monday” calls over the weekend. So far, $BTC is green and has bounced from around $80.5k to $83k. The fears weren’t baseless. AI stocks had a rough week, oil was elevated, and the geopolitical headlines weren’t helping. But today, oil has pulled back and US stock futures are higher. Trump’s waiver of the new Russia sanctions has also raised hopes of more fuel supply reaching the market. That gives some context to the bounce. The problems haven’t disappeared, but markets have a little less pressure to deal with than the weekend headlines suggested. My read: this looks more like a relief bounce than proof that everything is fine. US stocks haven’t even opened yet. Still, there’s a difference between identifying real risks and confidently putting a date on a crash. Being worried about the market is reasonable. Treating a red Monday as guaranteed is where the analysis gets lazy.

Think oil deserves more attention if you’re watching stocks and crypto right now. US - Iran tensions and attacks on Russian energy facilities could keep supply under pressure. Trump waiving the new Russia sanctions could offer some relief, but it doesn’t undo the disruption. US inflation came in at 3.7% in September. If energy stays expensive, businesses face higher costs, consumers have less to spend, and the Fed has less room to lower rates. That could keep pressure on stocks and make it harder for a crypto rally to hold. The opposite matters too. If supply improves and oil comes down, both markets could get some breathing room before the geopolitical situation is fully resolved. With midterms on November 3, there’s an incentive for Trump to push for lower prices. But I wouldn’t build a bullish case purely around “he needs markets up.” For me, the question is whether these talks and policy changes actually make energy cheaper. That would give a recovery more substance than another reassuring headline.

I looked into a lot of the coins CT has been hyping lately. These are my views after checking the actual fundamentals. $NEAR: Intents show real usage, fee generation and buybacks. Volume is in the tens of billions cumulative with solid recent activity. Quantum-resistant signing is already optional on accounts with no migration needed. Buybacks are real, but issuance has often been higher so net supply is still expanding. Worth watching. $ZEC: Privacy infrastructure is live and improving, with a growing shielded share of supply. Not a revenue play. More a bet on demand for financial privacy. $TAO: Still one of the better decentralized AI setups. Subnets are generating real external revenue (recent estimates above $50M annualized) with actual customers and some revenue-funded buybacks. Emissions remain large relative to that, so I’m selective on what counts as genuine demand. $ZRO: Strong cross-chain infrastructure with real usage. Stargate fees fund ZRO buybacks. Zero and ATLAS add an institutional settlement angle that is still mostly about what’s being built. Near-term unlock is a supply factor. $STRK: Solid tech, real utility and growing BTCFi activity. Tokenomics remain a concern with roughly 127M STRK unlocking monthly through March 2027. Stronger demand would help absorb that supply. $GRASS: One of the AI names actually reporting meaningful revenue. September third-party review showed about $14.5M in H1 2026. Interesting, though a material share of supply is still locked. Watching both adoption and dilution. A few others: $HYPE: One of the stronger business models in crypto. Real trading activity, substantial fees, and a clear mechanism sending a high share of those fees to HYPE purchases that get burned. Hard to ignore. $MORPHO: Real adoption with genuine borrowing demand and major platform integrations. Product is finding traction, but direct token revenue capture is still limited. $UNI: Fee switch improved the story. Established DEX usage now funds protocol-fee linked UNI burns. Better than the old governance-only setup, though burns have been modest so far. I’m not dismissing projects just because CT is talking about them. Some have real revenue, some have good tech, and some still depend on what comes next. There’s a difference between liking a project and paying any price for it. Good projects have turned into bad investments when expectations ran too far ahead of reality. Being early to a good project and being early to a good trade are two different things.

Reading about someone being tied up and held at knifepoint for $800k in crypto is fucking horrifying. We spend hours discussing wallet security and barely talk about how easily an account can be connected to a person, a home, a family. A PnL screenshot shows the money. A few lifestyle posts reveal the location. Someone willing to hurt you can connect the two. With TOKEN2049 just wrapping up, it’s also worth thinking about what we share around events. Meeting people and putting a face to an account is great. Nobody should feel wrong for doing that. But your face, your holdings, your hotel and your whereabouts don’t all need to be public together. Post photos after leaving. Keep balances and accommodation private. Ask before tagging someone who stays anonymous. None of this puts the blame on the victim. The people doing this are fucking criminals. But privacy deserves the same attention as custody. Your security setup has to account for someone showing up at your door.
if you live in the uk and do crypto get the fuck out just got my house invaded, taped up held at knife point & robbed for $800k in so much shock i dont know what the fuck to do, fuck this country. No this is not satire, i fucking wish it was. wallet with stolen funds solscan.io/account/B3pMs331k…

Going into a bit of a research phase again. What are some $ALTS you think have already bottomed out, are showing signs of a breakout, or have solid fundamentals but are still flying under the radar? Looking for some fresh names to dig into. Shill me your best picks.

$CHIP doing quite well! Sticking with few solid trades rather than aping into every new thing is working well so far.

Been using @SimpleFXcom for a bit now and honestly I think the biggest takeaway is just having another solid platform in the rotation. Easy to use, been around for years and does what I need it to do. If you’ve been looking for an alternative, worth giving it a try. sfx.unilink.io/cryptolimboBO…

Genuine question for people who’ve been in crypto for a few cycles: If someone was starting from zero today, what advice would you give them? Would you still recommend crypto at all? And if yes, where do you think the actual edge is in 2026?

There’s a lot of FUD around $TIBBIR right now. And I get some of it. The bridge had weeks of buildup, people expected a much bigger reveal around Robinhood, and what we got initially was “TIBBIR is now on Robinhood Chain.” Add the tax/bridging discussion on top and the vibe naturally turned bearish. But I think people are rushing to conclusions. Bridging to Robinhood Chain was always more likely to be a first step, not the endgame. The thing I keep coming back to is @ribbita2012 itself. Before all this, the account was constantly posting. The bridge goes live, they announce it and then silence. If the bridge was genuinely the entire reveal, I would’ve expected Ribbita to simply go back to normal posting. It hasn’t. Maybe they’re waiting for enough supply to migrate. Maybe something else comes after the bridge. Maybe there’s another reason entirely. We don’t know. But nothing that has happened so far has invalidated the bigger $TIBBIR thesis either. The Ribbit breadcrumbs still exist. The RWA direction is now clearer than before. The Robinhood Chain move happened. And there are still parts of the new setup we don’t fully understand. So I’m not going to decide the entire story based on a few bad days of sentiment. We waited when nobody knew what the bridge meant. I can wait a little longer to find out what’s on the other side. Sometimes the hardest part of being early is surviving the period where you still don’t have all the answers.
