AI is starting to build the machines that power AI.
And that loop could get very interesting.
NVIDIA recently showed robots performing precision assembly tasks for GB300 AI systems:
→ 95%+ success on busbar assembly
→ 90–95% on electrical connector insertion
→ Simulation + real-world data + reinforcement learning
But the bigger story isn’t the assembly task.
It’s the loop forming underneath it:
AI → trains robots
Robots → build AI hardware
AI hardware → trains stronger AI
Stronger AI → trains better robots
And every turn of that loop depends on one scarce resource:
PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE.
That’s why @axisrobotics is interesting.
Axis is building infrastructure that turns simulation, human interaction, failures and real-world execution into training data robots can learn from.
Its own research has already shown a policy improving from ~22% to ~52% success through a recursive sim-to-real learning loop.
NVIDIA and Axis are working on different parts of the stack.
But together, they point toward the same future:
AI won’t just design the next generation of machines.
ROBOTS TRAINED BY AI MAY HELP BUILD THEM.
A humanoid maker made $1.8M last year and is valued at $2.5B.
Another shipped 5,500+ humanoids and is worth ~$30B.
