Web3 didn’t die because of the bear market projects slowly turned it into a follower count game. there was a time when you could be an anon with 300 followers, share something useful, help people, find real alpha and people respected you for it nobody cared that much about your follower count now it feels completely different. big account? you get the role, allocation, reward, early access and paid deal. small account doing the actual work for months are mostly ignored. you can research a project, use the product, help the community and show up every day, but if you don’t have the right network or a big X account, your work barely gets noticed. and ct has changed too. too many people are promoting whatever pays them. they earn from the project, earn from x, push it to their followers and the community is usually the one taking the risk. what makes it worse is that some of the biggest accounts don’t even have much real web3 knowledge anymore. projects are the biggest reason this happened they keep rewarding reach over contribution, so the same circle keeps getting the same opportunities again and again. web3 was supposed to be fair that’s not the web3 I remember.
