Many of you have asked what can be done to oppose this.
As its a final rule this part of the process is done. But here's how we continue to fight back.

So basically the right split into two factions, tech right and right right, and the tech right is like "hey we need h-1b visa people to do the jobs," and the right right was like "no you need to hire americans," and the tech right is like "but you guys are retarded," and the right right is like "well you don't train us," and the tech right is like "you can't outtrain being retarded," and while all this was going on we learned some people *really* don't like Indians.

crypto is the only industry where people who've never written a line of code in their lives act like they're experts in engineering, systems design, and programming.
really baffles my mind.

A little election nerves into next week.
Then people will wake up and realize regardless of who won, their life wont change and the government will keep on spending. And numbers go up.

the "why doesn't saylor time his buys" tweets are always the most insane concept to me
it's like, he clearly believes its going to infinity, and just wants to own as many as he can as quick as he can, and I really don't think people understand the level of complexity trying to time his buys introduces to that equation
Like suddenly instead of (ok, i buy btc when i get money for it) its now a case of, ok i should buy when its cheap, which sounds incredibly simple, except it really really isn't
aaaand worst case is he would end up in the situation alot of crypto funds are currently in, which is they tried to get smarter than the market because all of the cool people were timing their buys, and we giga mooned and they have very little exposure because "timing your buys" is incredibly fucking hard and adds 5000 layers of complexity

"What is a CBDC for? What problem is it going to solve?"
"Look, um... it's to keep track with the reality of how, um, we all, um, purchase and save.... Um, er, and, um."
The UK's Permanent Secretary to the Treasury, James Bowler, struggles to explain what problems CBDCs are actually going to solve.

what actually happened:
- Warren encouraged a bank run against Silvergate because she saw an opportunity to harass a pro-crypto institution after FTX collapsed
- Warren uses talking points dreamed up by Silvergate short seller Cohodes - Cohodes did not deny having contacted her office
- We know now that SI was not criminally liable for any FTX stuff, even though Warren heavily implies that in the tweet above, that was the entire thrust of her december '22 letter, and that was the essence of all the short seller campaigns. SI was misled by SBF/FTX just like everyone else.
- Silvergate was solvent til the end and directors chose to voluntarily liquidate not because of the bank run (which they had survived), but because bank regulators told them they couldn't serve crypto clients any more - so their business evaporated
- "customer must be made whole" - customers were whole the whole time.
- Voluntary wind down was not evidence that "crypto is risky to banking" but rather that "regulators will kneecap you if you are a crypto bank". it doesn't prove Warren's point at all. It just proves that bank regulators can capriciously kill off the firms they regulate if they want. Ok...? some point you've made there.
- Silvergate's ultimate settlement with the SEC was not for anything material or related to FTX but execs making "misleading" statements about the bank's soundness. (That was really all they could find after throwing everything at them). Settlement with CA DFPI focused on "deficiencies with respect to Silvergate’s monitoring of internal transactions" in the context of SEN. No criminal charges ever materialized cause there simply wasn't evidence of wrongdoing. Despite Warren's insinuations. Many hundreds of firms were service providers to FTX/Alameda, Silvergate was just one.
