Samsung Wallet is preparing to put USDC transfers on 82 million compatible U.S. Galaxy devices. Starting in the last week of October, eligible users will be able to: → Send USDC to compatible wallets abroad → Transfer money to eligible bank accounts in 60+ countries → Let recipients receive local currency → Authorize transfers with device biometrics → Use the wallet already installed on their phone Behind the interface: Bastion, Coinbase Prime, Solana and Sui. Samsung says it will not charge for transfers to compatible external wallets. Third-party and bank-payout fees can still apply. This is the real consumer-crypto distribution play: not another wallet to download, but a new capability inside the wallet people already use. As the infrastructure becomes less visible, deterministic rules, clear authorization and traceable outcomes become more important. Coinbase is no longer just putting stocks next to crypto. It is moving into IPO distribution. Eligible U.S. customers can now request IPO shares at the offer price inside the Coinbase app, beginning with Oura. Important distinction: This is not a tokenized stock or a pre-IPO perpetual. Securities are offered through FINRA-registered Coinbase Capital Markets, with Apex handling execution, clearing and custody. Requests may receive a full, partial or zero allocation. Solana just recorded 1.01B non-vote transactions in one week. Huge capacity signal. Not the same as 1.01B users. “Non-vote” removes validator consensus messages, but the count still includes human activity, bots, arbitrage attempts and reverted transactions. Blockworks found that 25.6% of Solana’s Q1 non-vote transactions reverted. A new ASE 2026 study analyzed 586 Solana bot repositories and 44M+ transactions, showing how deeply automation now shapes onchain activity. That does not invalidate the record. Bots can provide liquidity and keep markets efficient. It does mean adoption needs better measures: Success rates. Value transferred. Recurring users. Application diversity. Cardano Preprod ↔ Injective Testnet is now moving test ADA through an IBC route. The interesting part is not simply that two chains are connected. Injective hosts a Cardano client. Cardano hosts a Tendermint client for Injective. Hermes transports the packets, while the destination-side clients handle state verification. That is a better interoperability model than giving a separate bridge committee unilateral authority over every transfer. Important caveat: this is still testnet. Mainnet assets cannot cross yet. But it demonstrates that Cardano can connect to the wider IBC ecosystem through verifiable, bidirectional communication.
