A Bitcoin core dev is now thinking of leaving the Bitcoin project because of “toxic maxis.” The cultural erosion happened slowly since 2017. We need to revive the Bitcoin builders culture; the keyboard warriors and podcasters are far less important.

after some reflection, here's my take on a eth pow fork 1. many, incl me, have predicted for years that miners would fork ethereum to extract the final juice out of their investment. it doesn't take nostradamus to see this.

1/4 Powell said we are not in a recession because the labor market is too strong. This was exactly the argument used by Arthur Burns 50 years ago. But as the orange boxes show, all three of the 1970s recessions started with positive payroll growth.
