Yeah, I'm done.
I'm done being tolerant.
I've seen enough man... these people clearly hate us.
They hate our country, they hate our families, they hate our society, they steal our tax dollars, they don't learn our language, they attack us...
Why are we putting up with this?!

The Clarity Act may be done in the Senate, but the House is still taking up crypto legislation today.
At 10AM ET @WaysandMeansGOP will mark up its crypto tax bill.
At the same time, @FinancialCmte will begin marking up a handful of bills, including the House’s Strategic Bitcoin Reserve bill, introduced by @RepNickBegich earlier this year.

Mini evening update on Clarity: It’s a waiting game in every sense of the term.
Waiting for the White House to come back with a response and/or counter to the bipartisan ethics counterproposal, and waiting to see whether Leader Thune will file cloture on the motion to proceed to the Clarity Act tonight.
As @BrendanPedersen just reported, there’s worry from both sides that a failed cloture vote will bring the whole year-long effort down. But, there’s also big pressure from industry and GOP to get to it before they leave.
Plus, the yield issue is becoming a bigger sticking point, as more members want changes to the text and the Wall Street Journal op-ed gave them more cover to push for them.
Growing sense is that if cloture isn’t filed tonight then it won’t happen before recess.
🚨NEW: Crypto policy folks remain in what one industry source described to me as a “weird limbo,” even as the White House has now started engaging on the Tillis-Gallego bipartisan ethics counteroffer.
Behind the scenes, I’m told there’s been an intense effort this week from some of the President’s closest supporters to make the case for an ethics agreement.
Meanwhile, negotiations continue on other outstanding issues, with the White House taking the lead on BRCA discussions in an effort to get remaining law enforcement holdouts to a better place.

My thoughts exactly…. Perfect can't be the enemy of good. Let's get this done!
The Clarity Act is a consumer protection bill: strong AML/KYC, real tools for law enforcement and state AGs. Leave it on the table and consumers are left twisting in the wind with the status quo with no clear standards for bad actors to exploit (again).
Perfect can't be the enemy of good. Let's get this done.

🚨NEWS: I’m hearing from multiple industry sources that the White House has agreed on an ethics package for the Clarity Act and sent the language to certain Senate Republicans this afternoon.
It’s still unclear what the details of the agreement are (I’ve reached out for comment), but industry participants are hopeful this could clear the way for updated bill text to be released soon.
