After BERT came out in 2018, The awesome BERTology paper by @annargrs came out after 1.5 years to summarize how people are using BERT. Fast forward, it took exactly 1 year to get a nice survey paper on the ChatGPT affect. This paper is like a fresh air. arxiv.org/pdf/2311.16989.pdf
Really loved the fact that #Claude-2.1 team did this important analysis. Even if a model supports 1M context length, I would like to know if the model can equally capture the knowledge spread across different parts of a document.
