Hacker sekrits Over the years I’ve learned some basic generalizations of hackers. I will share them now. Because I know they’re scary to many who don’t know. - Hacking isn’t magic. They can’t hack you through Twitter or any other social media platform. - IPs depend. They’ll give a general location and maybe even specific, but ISPs use dynamic IPs. They change and you don’t even know it. From one day to another you might have a different one. If you fuck up and click something, you can reset it and get a different one. The easiest way to tell Muggles is this. Unplug your router and plug it back in. You’re good. - 85-90% of hackers are on the spectrum. This is good and bad news for you. In the one hand, they’re autistic so you can fuck with them if you know how. On the other hand they will spend 3 days with no sleep, high as a kite and filled with caffeine and various stimulants just to find exactly when you take a shit. I can’t help you there. You have to know which ones have that ability and which don’t. - Most hackers you meet on social media aren’t hackers. They’re script kiddies at best. “Skids”. Someone better than them wrote code or posted information about what to do and the entire extent of their knowledge is that. They have no idea what they’re doing beyond what someone else told them. - Hackers are nerds. Offline you can probably kick their ass. - 95% of skids are totally broke.
