We will always remember Ted and Arnie.
Today, we honor the 17-year anniversary of the line-of-duty deaths of #LACoFD Fire Captain Tedmund “Ted” Hall and Fire Fighter Specialist Arnaldo “Arnie” Quinones.
On this day in 2009, they made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their crew at Camp 16 during the Station Fire. Their vehicle rolled down a canyon in Mount Gleason during intense fire suppression efforts. With a combined 34 years of devoted service to Los Angeles County, their bravery remains an inspiration.
We shall never forget these true heroes and their sacrifice. 🕊️🚒

While Hermanos Gutiérrez and I were on tour together, we just vibed. At the end of the run, we were inspired to work together. So the brothers and I got in the studio with Dan Auerbach (of @theblackkeys), and the song “Elegantly Wasted” came to be.

In 1999, Australian truck driver Bill Morgan was involved in a serious accident that left him in a coma.
Even though doctors said he had no chance of living, he miraculously woke up after 12 days and was completely fine.
Feeling lucky to have survived, he bought a scratch lottery ticket. The result? He won a $17,000 car.
Normally, winning a car wouldn't have made it to the news, but because of Morgan's accident story, Channel 9 decided to do a feature on the man who was "clinically dead and came back to win the lottery."
While filming, they asked him to buy a lottery ticket so they could reenact the winning scratch.
He happily obliged and started scratching the ticket on camera. To everyone's dismay, he won a further $250,000.
