Most Americans blame Trump for the rising cost of gas, groceries, health care, and more. They are right.

What John Roberts wrote: “The President is not above the law.” What John Roberts did, in the same ruling: gave presidents immunity from prosecution for official acts. Most people don’t know Congress can impeach a chief justice. Spread it.

On October 16, 2019, I told Donald Trump, “With you, Mr. President, all roads lead to Putin.” On October 16, 2026, Trump signed an executive order waiving new sanctions on Russia passed by bipartisan majorities in Congress and signed into law just last month. This decision insults America’s commitment to democracy and our brave men and women in uniform, as Russia helps Iran target American forces. I join Republican senators in condemning this unconscionable capitulation to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians. As I have asked for years: What does Putin have on Trump that he would sell out America’s values?

He was lying flat on his back in the road with both hands in the air, shouting that he was a therapist and the man beside him was autistic and holding a toy truck. A policeman shot Charles Kinsey anyway. Kinsey asked him why. The officer said: "I don't know." North Miami, Florida, 18 July 2016. Kinsey, 47, was a behavioural therapist. One of his patients, Arnaldo Rios Soto, a 26-year-old autistic man, had wandered out of a group home and was sitting in the middle of the road playing with a silver toy truck. Someone called 911 and reported a man with a gun threatening to kill himself. Kinsey did everything. He lay down in the road on his back. He put both hands straight up in the air where they could be seen. He shouted his identification, his job, his patient's condition, and that the object was a toy. It is on video. A SWAT officer fired three rounds. One hit Kinsey in the leg. Then he was rolled over and handcuffed, bleeding in the road, and left there for a reported twenty minutes before an ambulance got to him. He asked the officer why he had shot him. He has testified that the answer was: *I don't know.* The officer, Jonathan Aledda, said he had been trying to protect Kinsey and believed Rios Soto was armed and a threat. He was charged — which is itself unusual — and tried twice. The first trial produced a conviction on one count of culpable negligence. A judge threw it out. A second jury acquitted him in 2019. Nobody has been held responsible. Kinsey survived and gave interviews, and the sentence he keeps returning to is the one everybody should take from this. He was unarmed, flat on his back, hands up, announcing himself, in daylight, on camera. He did everything right, and it did not matter. Every Black parent in America who has ever recited the rules to a teenager — hands visible, say sir, do not move, announce what you are doing — has had to reckon with Charles Kinsey, because he followed all of them, perfectly, out loud, and was shot anyway.

Elon Musk just poured $276 million into the midterms to try to buy the outcome. Our democracy was built on “We the People,” not the biggest checkbook. The only answer is for all of us to mobilize, organize, and vote like everything is on the line—because it is. Op: @donlemonofficial

My name is not the reason we're paying $5/gallon for gas. My name is not the reason you can't afford your groceries. My name is not the reason you can't afford your mortgage or rent. My name is not the reason you can't see a doctor. Their policies are the reason.

Senate Republicans, instead of posting on X, get TF back to DC and actually do something about Trump embarrassing our country on the world stage by being a Putin puppet and abandoning our allies. Sending a tweet and a letter are not a profile in courage, it’s a profile in cowardice!

James Talarico just summed up the entire midterm election in one sentence: “We have an affordability crisis because we have a corruption crisis.” That’s it. This entire election comes down to affordability vs. corruption. Which one are you voting for?

Someone said to me they can’t believe the rape crisis on college campuses has gotten this bad, and I replied that it’s not that it’s ‘gotten this bad,’ it’s that they’re finally being reported—and even then a mere fraction of the horrid reality of epidemic campus rape.

There's no more pretense. The shameful truth is now clear. By withholding critical Intel and Internet services, and lifting sanctions on Russia to replenish Putin's war machine, @realDonaldTrump & @elonmusk are now fully complicit. They're on Putin's side. nytimes.com/2026/10/14/world… via @NYTimes
