Reading team pics from 1976-77, 1977-78, 1978-79 and 1979-80. The b&w ones are original press issues, while the colour photos I think were available from the club shop #readingfc
41 years ago today, Reading extended their record winning start to 13 games after a 1-0 triumph at Lincoln, with the great Trevor Senior notching the winner #readingfc
I've managed to put together a nice little run of 10×8 team photos over the years. I know this is a ridiculously long shot, but if anyone has missing one, please give me a shout! #readingfc
And the 'missing' one in place. So a nice run of 10x8 photos covering 1975-76 to 1983-84. Are there more of that size from before or after that period? 🤔 #readingfc
No such a long shot! I'm very grateful to Neil Palmer, who came up trumps with the 1982-83 photo and kindly sent it ro me #readingfc
A few original team photographs from my #readingfc collection. Always looking to add more.
I've just received my copy of the superb 'I Was Hooked' from the folks at @GotNotGot. It's a nostalgia filled journey charting fans' first game watching their respective teams. I was delighted to be asked to contribute my memories of seeing #readingfc for the first time.
41 years ago today, Reading broke the record for consecutive League wins at the start of a season after beating Newport 2-0 to make it 12 #readingfc

1978-79: Reading topped Division 4 that season, winning their first divisional title in more than 50 years. Goalkeeper Steve Death kept 11 consecutive clean sheets at the end of the campaign, setting a League record of 1,074 minutes without conceding #readingfc
1984-85: Reading only finished 9th in Division Three that season, but hinted at what was to come by winning an impressive 11 games on the road #readingfc
41 years ago today we beat Chesterfield 4-2 at Elm Park to make it 10 wins from 10 in Division Three. Forget the scoreline, we battered them all game them with a nonstop attacking display. I knew I had this somewhere, but had to dig deep in a huge crate of old papers! #readingfc
Reading captain Herbert Smith was capped four times for England between 1905 and 1906. It would be another 101 years before another of our players received that honour, when Nicky Shorey played twice for the Three Lions in 2007. Two great left-backs, one century apart #readingfc
Jack Marriott has scored 8 goals in Reading's first 6 League games, something not even super Trev or the mighty Quinn managed. The last player to do so was Kerry Dixon back in 1982 #readingfc
Elm Park's top League crowd is the 29,092 who saw #readingfc play Notts County in Division 3 (South) in 1949. Three factors contributed: a post-war boom in attendances, the fact it was a top-of-the-able clash, and a chance to see County's centre-forward, the great Tommy Lawton.
Almost 100 years ago, in October 1926, @ReadingFC beat Notts County 7-1 at Elm Park in the first league meeting between the teams #readingfc
