🚨 DEPROGRAMMED? A former Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) board member is speaking out after leaving the organization. Jake Altman, who previously served on the DSA Boston board, says he became increasingly concerned about what he describes as the organization’s embrace of Marxist ideas and support for foreign regimes hostile to the United States. His message to others inside the movement who disagree? “Leave.” His story is raising bigger questions about the direction of the American socialist movement—and whether dissent is truly welcome within it. #DemocraticSocialists #DSA #Marxism #Socialism #Communism #PoliticalIdeology #America #AmericanPolitics #Conservatives #ChristianConservatives #FreeSpeech #PoliticalFreedom #WakeUpAmerica #Deprogrammed #News

For those of you with your heads up your asses, that's bullshit. The facility was using building maintenance money to shore up its finances since the 1970s. The building state has been widely known and reported on that entire period. Until Trump rubbed our noses in it, it's been ignored by the board. This isn't a secret. The media had an entirely different voice on the matter until Trump. Then Trump hatred overcame everything else. Here's the actual history: "The Kennedy Center’s deferred-maintenance backlog did not begin as a deliberate short-term accounting tactic in one specific year. It accumulated from the building’s opening in 1971 because of unclear responsibility and limited funding, then became a documented, recurring issue that later leaderships managed rather than fully eliminated. From 1971 through the early 1990sThe National Park Service and the Kennedy Center shared operations-and-maintenance duties under a cooperative agreement that never assigned clear responsibility for long-term capital work. Periodic one-off congressional appropriations were the only source of major repairs. By 1990, both parties acknowledged “severe deterioration” and a large backlog of deferred cyclical maintenance; congressional testimony that year cited an immediate $30.5 million need. In 1994 Congress transferred sole capital-project authority to the Kennedy Center and required an annually updated Comprehensive Building Plan. The first CBP appeared in 1995 and explicitly aimed to clear the existing backlog in two stages (critical life-safety and accessibility work 1995–1999, then remaining deferred capital repairs 2000–2009). Federal appropriations for those projects totaled more than $200 million between 1995 and 2005. Subsequent CBP updates (2002, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2021) continued to list hundreds of millions of dollars in remaining or newly identified work. Systems installed in the mid-1990s (chillers, boilers, etc.) themselves reached end-of-life, water-intrusion problems persisted, and the privately funded $250 million REACH expansion (opened 2019) added square footage whose ongoing federal operations-and-maintenance costs were not fully analyzed for life-cycle impact. GAO reviews in 2004, 2005, and 2021 repeatedly noted incomplete planning, project delays, and an un-eliminated backlog. In short, the pattern of postponing maintenance while relying on federal capital appropriations and prioritizing new construction or programming began in the 1970s, was formally recognized and planned against in 1995, and never fully disappeared. Current leadership describes the resulting $250 million-plus backlog as “decades of deferred maintenance” left by prior administrations." Trump is a jerk. He pisses people off for no reason. However, the KC used moneys meant to keep the building functional to shore up its bottom line. Pre-Trump, even outlets like Wapo and the New York Times freely reported on the problem. Now, they're pretending it just showed up because Trump. It's moronic. Unlike you, I've watched this unfold in real time for my whole adult life. I was born in Arlington. I've been to the center dozens of times. I've even performed their. I'm a licensed professional engineer with more than four decades of experience and I've observed the decay personally. Unlike you, I know what I'm talking about. The building is in trouble, and that did NOT start with Trump. It goes back many decades.

A packed town hall meeting in Parma with challenging questions from voters across northeast Ohio, after we did the same thing in Toledo last night. This is what a candidate for Governor is supposed to do, instead of hiding from questions & debates.

Sherrod Brown is running ads blasting a Google data center in Ohio for driving up electric bills — but campaign finance records show he's taken $20,000 from Google's corporate PAC since 2008, plus thousands more from Google lobbyists who specifically lobby on permitting reform tied to data center expansion. Two of those lobbyists — one who donated $3,500 in March alone, another who's given over $10,200 since 2017 — work for firms hired by Google to push permitting reform for grid reliability and energy affordability. The very issues Brown's ad attacks. GOP strategist Mehek Cooke called it "Jekyll-and-Hyde politics," saying Brown has spent five decades selling himself as a working-class populist while his Washington money trail tells a very different story. Hello @OhioAG and @SunocoRacing This dude claims to be an attorney and he either staged the pic or the station is price gouging.
$10 gas in rural Ohio. How much are we spending on the wars that caused this?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Gas stations commonly display $9.99 for regular unleaded as a signal they are out of that fuel grade, not the actual price. Ohio average regular gas price is about $4.54/gallon. politifact.com/factchecks/202… reuters.com/article/fact-c… gasprices.aaa.com/?state=OH

What she’s really saying is she, as an individual, divested and took profits and switched allocation to her spouse. Now we have no idea her hidden interests. À la Nancy Pelosi. I’d rather a candidate just disclose.
I sold all of my individual stocks in April so that Ohioans would never have to question where my priorities lie. Meanwhile, Vivek Ramaswamy has personally invested millions of dollars in data centers and has profited from them extensively during his campaign. I’m once again calling on him to sell his individual stocks and commit to not investing in data centers. I sold my stocks so I could faithfully serve Ohio. He's holding his so Ohio can serve himself.

DC Democrats just blocked @SenJonHusted’s bill that would have held data center builders responsible for their own energy and prevent homeowners and small businesses from seeing their electricity prices go up. The House had passed it by an almost unanimous vote yesterday! Why? Because they care more about politics than giving relief to Americans. Even worse, the Fake News won’t report this because they are the ultimate Democrat superPAC. Truly depraved.

I might be a “Billy Bob” from Nebraska according to Senate Candidate Dan Osborn, but Dan was busted in the Ashley Madison sex scandal and couldn’t keep his daughter off the pole That makes him a sh!tty person
🚨 Dan Osborn just got caught talking about Nebraska Trump voters like they are cartoon extras. On tape, he called them “Billy Bob” in Red Cloud, waving a flag next to the Trump store. He said all they know is that they are on the winning team. Then he said their lives probably suck. CNN asked if that was him. He said it sure sounded like him. Now he wants a do-over. Suddenly he has toured 55 counties and “respects” Trump voters. No. You mocked them first. Then you remembered you need their votes.

He’s not a licence physician and has never been. His wife is but doesn’t accept Medicaid. This dude is a charlatan.
Abdul El-Sayed says he would be the first Democrat doctor in the U.S. Senate: "It'd be a good idea to hire somebody who actually understands this industry" (Abdul has never had a medical license and never did a residency)

People just want to be entertained they don’t want to hear the loony liberal babbling.
It’s so incredibly disappointing that Macklemore, my constituent, was removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour because of his comments in support of the Palestinian people. We should all be outraged that powerful people are more upset about what an artist says than the displacement, starvation, and killing of innocent Palestinian children and families. Thank you, Macklemore, for speaking up. This is a moment for us to come together, find our moral conscience as a nation, and end this genocide.

He is clearly infirmed and should resign.
He didn’t exactly leave as much as he was dragged out

Ohio's doctors' PAC endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor Monday over Dr. Amy Acton. She is the licensed physician in the race. He is not. The PAC chair cited "preserving physician-led healthcare." Full report in the reply.

CCS spends more than nearly every suburban district by thousands per student. Yet, have dismal student performance. More money will not nor ever has fixed the problem.
Ohio’s public schools should be preparing our kids for their futures, not struggling every year for the resources they need to help our students succeed. That’s why I’ll fully fund our public schools, invest in our teachers and make sure students graduate with the skills they need so that every child in Ohio can reach their full potential.

👏🏼THIS👏🏼 is why Vivek is built different. A planted question from the front row: “How can Ohioans trust a jet-setting billionaire who promoted a failed Alzheimer’s drug?” 🙄 Vivek doesn’t dodge it. He looks at the guy and says, “You look like a plant, so I wanted to make sure I gave you a question.” Then he answers anyway. Born an heir to nothing. Built companies that developed life-saving therapies. Doing unscripted town halls across Ohio while Amy Acton still won’t get on a debate stage. That’s not a politician. That’s a fighter. Ohio is lucky to have him.

Turns out that Amy Acton is lying about a lot of things…

This quote from @amyactonoh’s staff is outrageous, “No photos, no videos. I said — no pictures, no interviews." The question is changing from what are her positions to why is she hiding? This is how desperate Amy’s campaign is to keep you from knowing that she is: unhinged, incompetent and unfit.
A man trying to ask questions of Ohio Gubernatorial candidate Dr. Amy Acton while in Cincinnati - is abruptly stopped.
