My HOA fined me $75 because my mailbox is "the wrong shade of black."
They're right, technically.
So I read the entire 80 page rulebook. Highlighter and everything. By Sunday I had found out the board treasurer's fence is two feet too tall, the vice president's RV has been parked in his driveway for three years, and the same fine they just charged me has never once been billed to the board president, who repaints his front door a new color every spring.
I didn't argue. I paid the $75, thanked them for the "helpful reminder," and mailed each board member a polite letter with the exact page and rule number for their own violation. I also attached a blank copy of the neighborhood complaint form for each of them.
Then I put my mailbox back to its original color and waited.
Last night a flyer showed up on every porch on the street: "Emergency Community Meeting, Thursday, 7 PM. Attendance Strongly Encouraged."
I've already printed 40 copies of the rulebook.
This is about to become everyone's problem.

Since Abbott’s September 21st “pause” on data center permits, his administration has continued to move more than a dozen permits for data centers through the approvals process.
Greg Abbott lied to you to protect the industry spending millions to get him reelected.

If the Astros go with someone like Matt Kleine, that is giving full team control to a smart and analytical individual. See this like when Luhnow took over.
There will be an overhaul on front office employees, coaches and minor leagues.
This doesn't mean that the Astros will automatically be contenders though. To build a championship roster, you have to trade players, extend players, draft well, sign good free agents, etc.
I see this as a 2-3 year process where the Astros are building for a great future.
