Northern Taiwan while used to system like this should at least pay attention because it could get quite messy there
Look me in the eyes and tell me this isn’t the most beautiful system ever…
Outflow is PERFECT
185MPH 895MB 35-40MILE WIDE EYE BEAST
Chompi is so strong that while it’s having some internal structure changes right now it is maintaining a beast.
Definitely some kind of Eyewall merger/RC going on
Likely hit its peak but let’s see if it can come back in the next few hours
Why do I feel like we’re all just sitting here waiting for the first visible of the day on Chompi? 😅😅😅
Pin hole eyes are notorious for being sub 900MB because their size makes it incredibly easier to reach those max potentials as it needs much less energy and inertia.
Getting a sub 900MB system with a 45 mile wide eye is almost unheard of and takes an incredible amount of energy.
I don’t think people understand just how hard it is for a system to be this strong with an eye that big. Pretty rare territory.
Crazy
You think conditions are good now for Chompi? Look at the shear forecast 48 hours out… it doesn’t get better looking than that folks.
