A year ago today, I broke down in tears at my office at what I saw. I had been struggling with my faith in God for years, wanting to revert to Christianity but being unable or unwilling for various reasons.
But all that changed when I saw what they did to Charlie, and how quickly they began to celebrate it. I couldn't wait until 5:00 to clock out and go home. I closed the door to my office and prayed to God, begging for His forgiveness and grace.
On August 30 of this year, I went to my first Catholic mass, and this coming Tuesday I am starting the OCIA.
Charlie inspired me and thousands of others. I will never forget him, or how I felt on that day. The world will never be the same.

Why did Massie lose tonight?
Massie went from principled libertarian during COVID, to GOP leadership lapdog under McCarthy, to anti-Trump Epstein obsessive in 2025 after tweeting about that issue a whopping three (3) times in the decade prior. The nail in the coffin for him was voting against OBBB in 2025 because, according to Massie, it did too much to secure the border.
Trump mercilessly trashed Massie in 2020–calling him a “disaster” for America and Kentucky and saying he should be thrown out of the GOP entirely—but Massie easily swatted that away and won 81-19, so you can’t say he only lost because of Trump. He went toe-to-toe with Trump on COVID in 2020 and won overwhelmingly.
Massie lost because he went from being perceived as a quirky but lovable nerd who seemed to genuinely believe everything he said, to looking like a clout-chasing influencer who cared more about getting TV time with Democrats on an issue he clearly never cared about until five minutes ago than he did about representing his voters.
We’ll never know what caused the apparent personality change—maybe it was the death of his wife, maybe it was the McCarthy race followed by McCarthy’s ouster, or maybe it was a desire for notoriety or media acclaim and a lucrative podcasting career outside of Congress—but the drastic change was undeniable, as was the seeming lack of interest in much of anything happening in Kentucky.
Blame Trump, blame Israel, blame Epstein, blame the tragic death of a spouse, I don’t care. But you cannot just wave away 2020 Massie going face-to-face with the Trump machine and winning in a rout only to get smoked six years later.
Massie’s voters didn’t really change all that much, but he did, and they noticed.

TRIGGER WARNING: The lawlessness that we are seeing happen across Memphis is caused overwhelmingly by one demographic: black teenagers.
Last night on Beale Street there were at least two separate shootings. A mob of some 200 black teens caused mayhem in the $60 million Tom Lee Park before heading to Beale Street.
Business owners on Beale tell me there were fights and stampedes all over downtown. At several had to shut down their establishments early because of the violence.
The black preachers, black business leaders and black elected leaders need to have a "Come to Jesus" conversation with the citizens of Memphis.
Enforce the curfew. Arrest parents who allow their children to break curfew. God only knows much worse last night could have been without the Memphis Safe Task Force.
We don't need any more community centers or athletic fields or basketball courts. We need moms and dads to step up and starting parenting. We'll be happy to supply hickory switches and/or belts.
And we need a district attorney's office that will fight crime instead of treating the criminals like victims.
The time for dancing around this issue with politically correct jargon is over.
Question for anyone who might see this. This woman is married. She's a "boy mom" and her husband is that boys father. The profile pic is her and her kid and the dog. No husband in the photo, no "wife" mentioned in the list of things she identifies as.
Does anyone else see that as a red flag?
