We can use the same principle from an OPSEC perspective too. The reason Neo noticed her in the first place was because she stood out. Do you want your OPSEC to be the people in the background, all dressed in a shade of black and blending or do you want to be the woman in red?
The Woman in Red is a simulated character in "The Matrix" used in the Agent training program to demonstrate how easily a person can be distracted and manipulated. She appears harmless but can quickly transform into a dangerous Agent.
I am going to put this out there, OPSEC is not about using a VPN.
Do I always use a VPN?
In fact, why do you need to use a VPN?
That is the first question you should ask yourself.
A VPN should not be a default option. What other options do you have?
