The Computer Professionals' Union welcomes the recent decision of the House of Representatives to impeach Vice President Sara Duterte. It is a clear win for the Filipino people, who have long called for accountability from corrupt government officials such as Duterte.
The impeachment of Sara Duterte serves as a warning to other government officials in the Marcos Jr. administration who have long used their position to pocket the people's money.
Alongside other sectors of Philippine society, ICT workers and professionals will continue to fight until the bureaucrat-capitalist system is put to an end.
Greater support for the ICT sector!
Hold corrupt officials accountable!
Convict Sara now!

Impeach Sara Duterte Now! This is the resounding call of the Filipino science, tech=, and engineering community, as we stand in solidarity with the broader Filipino public in condemning the worsening crises of poverty, corruption, and impunity that continue to plague our nation.
President Marcos Jr., instead of heeding the demand of the people for accountability and justice, is the one stalling the impeachment of Sara Duterte in an attempt to preserve his power.
These actions, alongside those of a government rife with inefficiency and misplaced priorities, are intolerable and demand urgent action.
