I probably shouldn’t share this story, but here’s a little behind the scenes of owning trucks.
A few weeks ago, I was headed from Tulsa, OK, to Cheyenne, WY. An accident had shut down I-80, so I took old Highway 30. Along the way, a coolant hose behind my radiator sprang a leak. I pulled off the highway into a farmer’s field before the engine overheated, but I had lost all my coolant.
I walked down the road to a farmhouse and asked for water and a ride to town to get a new hose. Good ol’ farmer Lonnie helped me without hesitation.
A couple of hours later, I was back on the road and didn’t miss a beat. Grateful for good people like Lonnie.

The USA mid terms are a simple choice. Do you choose the United States of America? Or do you choose the tragic state of France or the UK.
Choose America. Choose the place you are blessed to call home.

NBC just talked to five people who got pulled over, held at gunpoint, or detained after Flock cameras spit out false alerts. One electrician stopped at a Chick-fil-A in Lafayette, Indiana, and officers surrounded his work truck with guns drawn because a plate misread flagged it as stolen. Another person sat in jail for nearly two weeks over the same kind of error.
These aren’t rare glitches. Flock’s system scans every car, matches against hot lists, and treats a probabilistic hit like certainty. Innocent drivers become high-risk stops with no probable cause. This is mass surveillance doing exactly what critics warned it would.

ORSON WELLES’ 3rd completed feature film as director centres on a war crimes investigator tracking a high-ranking Nazi fugitive to a Connecticut town.
It was the first Hollywood film to incorporate actual documentary footage of the Holocaust.
It hardly gets a mention and is seen even less, and although it may be a movie only true WELLES fans could love, I think it’s worth a hunt and your time.
Oh, and it was the only Welles film that was a bona fide box office success upon its release.

Known as “the voice of the century,” the legendary Maria Callas made her French debut at the Paris Opera in 1958, performing Bellini’s sublime “Casta Diva” with the ORTF Orchestra under Georges Sébastian.
This archival footage captures Callas at the height of her artistry, commanding the stage with a voice and presence that left audiences spellbound. A remarkable moment in operatic history. 🎭
