The second article I ever wrote for Housingwire in 2020 argued that a booming economy isn’t actually good for housing if it pushes rates above a normal range. Here we are again, with rates near 7.25% for the fourth calendar year. under 6.64%, heading toward six, You can grow, but above seven we have no data that shows any growth

New home sales haven't fallen below 2022 lows yet, and remodeling workers are still in demand; plus, the AI boom has changed this cycle.
In reality, new home sales haven't gone anywhere in 10 years

More people died in France this year from not having air conditioning (7,300) than American deaths from mass shootings in all of recorded U.S. history (1,741).😬
Longer decision cycles do not kill premium businesses. Needing the deal to close this month does. If your pipeline collapses when affluent clients deliberate, you built a revenue habit, not trust. Read:
Your best clients are not slowing down. They are testing whether you still deserve access. When buyers take longer, weak operators panic and discount. Architects sharpen proof, patience, and positioning. Desperation is expensive. Affluent people can smell it through the screen.
More revenue will not fix a founder addicted to excess. More hires, more tools, more meetings, more nonsense with a dashboard. Abundance is having enough margin to choose. Excess is needing more because silence might reveal the machine has no discipline.
Your network is not weak because you lack contacts. It is weak because every relationship can smell the invoice hiding behind your handshake. Real reciprocity is not keeping score. It is becoming so useful that serious people remember your name when the room gets expensive.
