Cities operating #municipalgolf can be notoriously bad for not re-investing in the product.
Not Brantford, Ontario. On the heels of a new clubhouse & pro shop a few years ago, the city has allocated $1.7 million for a new maintenance building at Walter Gretzky Municipal.

I’ve been a proud @pgaofcanada Member for 35 years now - today was one of the proudest days of my career and life when my son Zac successfully played in to be a PGA of Canada Member at Fanshawe Golf Club in London - Zac fired a 72 to be the low man in a field of 42 candidates
Always a sad time of year when the backbone of your operation - students - head back to school - had to say thank you and goodbye to two absolute gems the last 2 days - #ThankYouMikayla, #ThankYouAdam
Going thru some personal belongings today and came across this - if it was good enough to be vaccinated from 1965 to 1970 as a child why isn’t it good enough today - Come On People!!
On this, the first Walter Gretzky Day, I thought I would share a few of my favourite pics of Mr. Gretzky - he was truly a special man that will never be forgotten

Carey Price is a future Hall of Fame goaltender. There are lots of amazing moments in his career and I’m sure there are more to come.
But when I think of him, I always think of this moment he had with a young fan who had just lost his mother.
Be well, Carey.

Stress is a silent killer. It can slowly kill our patience, our humour, our tolerance and our desire to help. We have all been under so much stress thru this pandemic. We need to try harder to be extra patient, extra tolerant, extra helpful and to show more, not less, humanity,

Incredible: Fulham players climb into crowd to celebrate goal with 13-Year Old fan Rhys Porter who has cerebral palsy and suffered savage online abuse after posting footage of himself playing football. Beautiful moment of empathy and human kindness 🙌

Very special day at Walter Gretzky Municipal - Mayor Davis and Councillors Utley and Sless present with the Gretzky family for the unveiling of the portrait of Mr Gretzky that will hang in the lobby - I’ve long said I’m a better person for having the privilege to know Mr Gretzky
