Tonight, my family and I experienced something no family should ever have to go through.
Our restaurant, Singh’s Dining Restaurant in Hammersmith, was attacked by a group of Islamists.
We had been receiving death threats every single day, including one that specifically warned us that 28 October would be our last day.
We raised our concerns, and the @metpoliceuk were aware of the threats. Yet tonight, we found ourselves facing the very nightmare we had feared.
My daughter had to close the shutters just in time. I cannot even begin to imagine what might have happened if she hadn’t acted so quickly. We could have lost someone in our family tonight.
The attackers reportedly tried for a long time to break through the shutters to get inside, leaving shortly before the police arrived.
We have serious concerns about how the attackers knew when to leave, and whether they were alerted before the police arrived. These concerns deserve a thorough and transparent investigation.
Tonight, I am left facing a heartbreaking decision, Do we keep our doors open and risk our lives, or do we shut down the business we have worked so hard to build because I don’t serve Halal food.
No family should ever have to choose between their livelihood and their safety. No one should have to live in fear in their own place of work.
I am angry. I am heartbroken. I am frightened for my family’s safety.
I am calling on the @metpoliceuk to take these threats seriously, investigate tonight’s attack thoroughly, and ensure that my family is protected.
Please share this post. Let our voices be heard. We should not have to wait for someone to lose their life before our safety is taken seriously.

Well Andy Burn'em has finally come right out with it.
He thinks that homeowners in the South should pay more Council Tax so as to subsidise those in the North.
What the self styled 'King of the North' won't tell you is that the reason Council Tax is so high in the North is because of spendthrift Labour councils.
The valuations from the 90s will still show Northern homes as being less expensive than those in the South.
The only thing that has changed is the rate of Council Tax charged by each council.

Hendy wind farm, in the north of the Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd constituency, was built by the Welsh Government over seven years ago. 7 x 110 metre high turbines were erected, the countryside was scarred, and local people were told this was all about delivering green energy.
Yet today, those turbines have never been connected to the national grid.
They have stood idle for years, exposed to the elements, already showing visible signs of rust and deterioration. That raises a very real concern about whether they will even function properly if they are ever switched on, or whether taxpayers will be left paying again for repairs, replacements, or another failed project.
This is what happens when left wing ideology replaces competence. Build first, think later, and hope nobody notices.
While rural Wales is lectured about climate responsibility, public money is wasted and failed projects are left to rot in our landscape.
Only @reformparty_uk is committed to stopping this madness and bringing an end to wasteful, poorly planned wind developments, that push electricity prices up and deliver nothing for local people or the country.
Enough is enough.

In Feb 2020, a deportation flight of 50 Jamaican criminals was prevented from taking off, after 170 MPs signed a letter to then PM, Boris Johnson
One of the MPs was Shabana Mahmood. Another was Sir Keir Starmer
On that flight was Ernesto Elliot, 45, a prolific offender with 17 crimes on his rap sheet, including possession of an imitation firearm
Thanks to the interventions of Mahmood & Starmer, Elliot remained in Britain. Six months later, he murdered 35-year-old Nathaniel Eyewu-Ago in a machete knife fight in Greenwich
Elliot was jailed for 26 years, where he will remain at British taxpayer's expense. He wasn't deported, as his lawyers used Article 8 of the ECHR, natch, "the right to a family life"
Incidentally, one of Elliot's family, his son Nico, was jailed for 22 years for his part in the very same murder
