2025 marked a big step forward for Cover.
We expanded from backyard homes into ground-up main homes.
We delivered the fastest detached ADU in LA City's history.
We completed the first custom fire rebuild in the Pacific Palisades, with a second underway and our first Altadena rebuild in the final stage.
Projects are now underway across 8 Southern California cities.
We ramped deliveries over 3×.
And today, we received our first permit for a 2-story Cover home.
Onward to 2026!
Another Cover stunner coming together in Altadena!
We started Cover (@coverbuild) to set a new standard for home. That's why our system is developed from the start to allow for near-infinite floor plan flexibility from a finite set of parts.
Homes like this one show that flexibility well.
Building a Cover is assembly, not construction.
That’s why the site is quiet, clean, and we're done before the neighbors have time to complain.
Today we're grateful for all the people who move, cut, bend, weld, machine, spray, clean, coat, paint, assemble, and stand up every Cover home, both in the factory and in the field.
Speed and quality don't have to compete.
We started installing this 2 bedroom Cover ADU in Carlsbad less than a month ago.
Most architects run 5 projects on memory and heroics.
We're building the machine that will run 100s: site integration solved, permits cleared, clients never surprised, with architects, engineers and software builders under one roof.
We're hiring: Onsite in Gardena, LA.
Breaking ground on another fire rebuild, this one in Altadena.
While grading and foundations are underway, we're manufacturing the home in our Gardena LA factory.
Conventional construction is fully sequential, with Cover it happens in parallel.

We do it not because it is easy, but because it is important.
Our mission at Cover is to make thoughtfully designed and well-built homes for everyone.
We showed @ashleevance around our factory and first Palisades rebuild after the 2025 fires.
It's been about 18 months since fires destroyed homes in the Palisades. Rebuilding has gone slowly thanks to insurance companies, regulations and a lack of labor.
The very first total rebuild came via an unlikely player - Cover.
It does prefab but not prefab like you know it. The homes are made of metal and have high-end finishings, and they can go up in about a month to 45 days.
Cover has its work ahead of it trying to take on the California housing market. But California sure needs help. We went to check Cover out. youtube.com/watch?v=Y6cwCsHX…

We went to LA and the Pacific Palisades to see if a startup might actually be able to fix the California housing crisis.
Our piece this week on @alexisxrivas and @coverbuild corememory.com/p/the-startup…
America turns 250 today.
Most of us don’t pause to think about it, but American architecture has always been daring. It has changed the world.
We invented the modern skyscraper and built them taller and faster than the world thought possible. We developed entirely new ways of living with nature and light. We kept pushing materials, technology, scale, and beauty further, creating structures that didn’t just stand in the landscape, but transformed it.
We didn’t just build for the few. We found ways to bring better design and better living to more people than ever before.
This is the legacy of people who believed that how we build says something about who we are and what we value. It’s a tradition of ambition, craft, and imagination.
We’re proud to be part of that story, and to keep pushing it forward.

Another Certificate of Occupancy secured in the Pacific Palisades. Welcome home!
We’re honored to be helping families build back after the devastating 2025 wildfires.
In the last week we’ve secured Certificates of Occupancy for two families in Pacific Palisades and Altadena.

We spotted something familiar on the homepage of the @latimes today.
