The project has been generously supported by the Hinrichsen Foundation, Marchus Trust, Vaughan Williams Foundation, Gemma Classical Music Trust, ZAiKS, Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (Artistic Scholarship 2026), private sponsors, and partner organisations.
This evening will also mark the launch of the CD Meditations for Harpsichord (Prima Facie Records) and the accompanying book published by Vision Edition, with contributions from all the composers involved.
The commissioned composers are:
Rolf Hind · Nicola LeFanu · John Palmer · Janet Oates · Kevin Raftery · Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska · Andrzej Karałow · Dariusz Przybylski · Anna Maria Huszcza
The project explores the harpsichord beyond its traditional context, focusing on resonance, silence and vibration, and creating a space for deep, meditative listening.
