NHL announces Capitals owner Ted Leonsis was unanimously elected as Chairman of the League’s Board of Governors.
Leonsis will succeed Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs, who retired from the post today after 19 years.

I asked @13Cjcarr tonight about the first time a coach permitted him to audible at the line. He answered with a great story.
@Coach_Palka, then the @SalineFootball head coach, was not in favor of QBs checking down. But in a game against Ann Arbor Huron as a junior or senior, Carr recognized man coverage, changed the play, and completed a long pass.
“I was kind of scared going to the sideline,” Carr said smiling. “But if it works, people are happy. That was the first time I ever checked a play.”

Thanks, Greg. I wish I’d asked a better question, though. The no-trade list is one part of this situation Larkin controls. How has he limited the Red Wings’ options, where does it stand now and will he open it up to more teams? To me, it’s more than fair to expect an answer.
