Trying to keep a cool head on COTI right now.
What I’m seeing is less “mystery buyer overnight” and more a chapter change: the legal entity that shows up in institutional contexts is Tchain LTD; COTI is the product, network, and brand. That framing makes the restructuring easier to read.
Shahaf Bar-Geffen stepping back can look abrupt at first, but leadership handovers after a long build cycle are common in tech. After nearly nine years, operational direction is moving toward Robbie Vander Ghinste and a new ZK Foundation setup, while Shahaf remains involved as an advisor.
One fair reading: Shahaf was closely associated with the build phase — including Garbled Circuits — and with earlier institutional / digital-euro innovation work. The next chapter may lean more toward commercialization and scale. That is an interpretation, not a guarantee.
A few signals that fit “preparation,” not panic: Privacy-on-Demand on Avalanche appears live on mainnet, with early real messages but still light usage. Liquidity shifting toward the more liquid ERC-20 / CEX side also reads more like setup for a COTI 2.0 chapter than a simple dump story.
Funding and “biggest investor” threads online are noisy. A few strategic names are public; a clean, fully verified cap table is not. DYOR matters more than ever — don’t let emotion drive the call. I’m reassessing too over the coming days.
For now: stay curious, stay careful. Stay ethereum:0xddb3422497e61e13543bea06989c0789117555c5
COTI is excited to announce its new chapter.
Today, Coti Foundation is shifting gears from pure development to a blended approach, to further the adoption of COTI and its privacy ecosystem. The foundation is now critically tasked with creating purpose-built applications that fulfill utilities in daily life, while ensuring transaction privacy.
1. Coti Foundation New Strategy
In the coming weeks, Coti Foundation will publish a detailed expansion to COTI's roadmap, with an emphasis on expanded COTI token spending ability.
It serves as a decentralized ecosystem, which companies and merchants across the world can join to expand their payment rails to include a privacy infrastructure. The foundation exists to champion this cause.
The current management will step down and COTI will come under the direction of ZK Foundation, led by Robbie Vander, who has deep experience working in web3 venture space. That network will now spearhead COTI's focus on business development.
2. COTI Token
This shift is designed to take the network and its asset to new utilities, led by a consortium that will focus on regions across the world.
Exciting new methods to use and spend COTI tokens are due soon this year.
3. Privacy Market Distinction
The biggest company in web3 is not an exchange or trading firm. Privacy firms are mostly focusing on trading.
The industry's kingpin is Tether, for their emphasis on making a spendable currency. That is going to be COTI's focus.
Rather than solely creating private trading tools, Coti Foundation is going to emphasize making private transactions a part of daily life. In a seamless, united interface.
We will soon announce an AMA with Robbie so the community can get a deeper grasp of the new vision of Coti Foundation.
4. Closing Points
Under Shahaf's leadership, COTI built much of the technology and institutional foundation that makes this next phase possible. He will continue to bring that experience to COTI as an advisor.
Robbie's vision goes in full effect with COTI 2.0 campaign, which starts next month. Get ready!
On Point.
The Confidential Brief
I could have written a 200-page novel about the events of this past week. I’m obviously not going to do that, but instead focus most of my attention on the power of the $COTI community.
When the new team came in there was a clear and confirmed offer:
Keep mods, ambassadors and a few other Key people until the end of October/November. To assist in making the transition smooth. No extra cost.
Offer was rejected.
Instead the new team, who had clearly not made the advance effort to understand our community, decided to bring in their own. And not only that.
In a jaw dropping display of contempt and arrogance, proceeded to “shame” one of our most loyal members with some fake salary numbers. The guy, predictably, got crucified.
The new community-facing crew promptly introduced North-Korean conditions in the main TG chat because they were getting overwhelmed by questions and complaints that they didn’t have an answer to. Those controls are still in place, mind you.
Why was that?
A team largely undoxxed - The old COTI team was fully transparent - all moderators, ambassadors, CEO, CTO, CMO, etc were fully doxxed and visible to anyone wishing to see who’s behind the project. New team won’t even go on camera and have a proper engagement with the community. We have their first names, but don’t know who they are - no social footprint whatsoever. The team behind the team - no clue either. Sure, some details will never be known but there could have been an effort to be a bit more informative. We’re gonna find out anyway!!!
Roadmap - rather than focus on what was right in front of them, namely PoD live on Avalanche, relatively straightforward to copy to other chains, ChainLink of privacy. An absolute slam dunk - plenty of positive sentiment to be leveraged, and a real chance to generate meaningful revenue. What we get instead is “yeah of course we will do that, but what we really want to do is consumer-facing app, travel, VPN, etc”. This could all be very good - I don’t know enough about it to claim otherwise - but given the massive excitement that PoD had generated online and in the community, this should have been the headline. Everything else to come later. It’s called low-hanging fruits and is what every new CEO looks for initially.
Transparency - to this day we still don’t have full visibility on who controls main wallets and what the security is like. What we do now know is that somewhere between 500-800 million $COTI was sent to a consortium partner/market maker. We don’t (yet) know who this is, but rather that the commitment to provide liquidity was “misrepresented” and instead resulting in a sustained sell-off, much to the detriment of everyone involved (see chart below).
Ecosystem care - it’s been less than 10 days and already we are facing issues with liquidity on @CarbonDeFixyz . Maybe, instead of making the transfer of more than half a billion COTI to a dodgy MM the top priority, make sure the COTI ecosystem is looked after first.
These are basically the most asked questions by our community - and questions that the team has not adequately covered - not in the chat group and not in yesterday’s Q&A.
And make no mistake about this - the community will not back down.
We saw this most recently on the “58%” issue. @shahafbg had initially given (on camera) a less than satisfactory answer, but with significant pressure from the community and some internal discussions between community leaders and core team, a better approach was agreed to.
Perfect? No. Better that what we had? Yes.
Ignoring the community and instead going with “trust me, fam” has been an unmitigated disaster, but it could have been so much different.
Reach out to the 10-15 most influential community members, have a call and broadly lay out plans and understand where the pain points are, and what is needed to get the community onboard.
I will always support @COTInetwork , and for sure old COTI wasn’t always a dance on roses, but I’m having a really hard time reconciling with what’s been going on since this takeover.
What’s the point of having a community, if you don’t make an attempt to understand and make good use of it?
Now, instead of a buy-in, you have a community full of distrust and opposition. How much time will be spent rebuilding that?
I haven’t sold out, nor will I at this stage. I’m just too curious, and will always believe in second-chances. @RobbieVdg will get this right.
For those who did sell out - I totally understand you. This has shaken the project at its foundations.
Onwards and Upwards

It’s crazy how some adults behave online when hiding behind a pseudonym.
Just look at the comments on my recent posts. I can understand frustration, but what humanity has turned into is insane.
Anyone who posts more than three words is immediately labeled AI and anyone with a different opinion is a scammer. It’s madness.
I believe in free speech, but from now on, I will block anyone who posts offensive comments on my profile.
Being critical and expressing one's own opinion is fine, but the moment things hit below the belt, that person is done.
A few people have been asking about my thoughts on the recent leadership change at ethereum:0xddb3422497e61e13543bea06989c0789117555c5. Here is where I stand: I am staying fully invested for now.
Why?
Because my conviction isn’t tied to a single name! (I liked Shahaf, and I needed some time to process the news of the resignation, too.) It’s tied to the undeniable economic efficiency of this technology.
Institutions, banks, and governments will inevitable migrate to public blockchains. The decentralized path is just cheaper and faster. @amateo has repeatedly confirmed this to us over the past few weeks through his conversations with the above-mentioned.
But to onboard them, we need a privacy layer that offers zero latency for the everyday smartphone user.
This is exactly why I believe ethereum:0xddb3422497e61e13543bea06989c0789117555c5 and Garbled Circuits (GC) will win the privacy race over ZK-Proofs and FHE:
🚫 The Limits of ZK & FHE:
• ZK-Proofs cause heavy "Prover time" overhead on mobile apps. Generating a proof drains your battery and takes too long at checkout. Plus, ZK cannot natively calculate a shared private state between two different banks.
• FHE is mathematically secure but computationally devastating. Running it on a phone causes overheating and takes minutes—unusable for real-world adoption.
Why Garbled Circuits (ethereum:0xddb3422497e61e13543bea06989c0789117555c5 V2) Win in my Opinion:
1. Built for Smartphones: GC shifts the heavy lifting off your device. Your phone processes the transaction in under 0.5 seconds. No overheating, just the speed of Apple or Google Pay!
2. Shared Private State: GC allows true multi-party computation. A smart contract can cross-check private bank data against an encrypted government AML-list, outputting an "Approved" status without either party seeing the other's raw data.
3. Regulated Confidentiality: It balances absolute privacy with compliance. Users hold the Viewing Keys via their wallet to instantly comply with tax or KYC audits.
But latency is the ultimate gatekeeper for global adoption. By solving the mobile bottleneck while keeping compliance intact, GC positions COTI V2 as the premier infrastructure for institutional Web3.
The tech is too good to ignore. Still bullish, still holding. Let´s wait for the next Weeks!📈
But as I mentioned earlier, DYOR is more important than ever. I am describing MY OPINION here!

BREAKING: COTI’s Privacy-on-Demand and Privacy Portal are now live on Avalanche
Business runs on confidential information, @COTInetwork helps keep it that way when it moves onchain.
Starting today, applications can use COTI to process sensitive data privately while keeping their assets and contracts on Avalanche.
Users can also hold, send, and receive supported assets privately on C-Chain.
Privacy where businesses need it, onchain, and built on Avalanche.
Anyone who doesn't look forward to the future with excitement here is beyond help.
While I have criticized @shahafbg in previous interviews, this time I have to praise him. He seems relieved to me - as if the ball has started rolling and other pieces are now falling into place one by one.
Statements like "I come from a major bank in Hong Kong" or "a popular L1 that chose COTI as its privacy solution"
...sound as though POD is a complete success and other things happening behind the scenes have also been successful.
Stay Coti!

A nice and insightful podcast.
I would have been interested in his take on Garbled Circuits and Coti.

Welcome to Epoch 19!
The Medium article, "Building COTI V2 Together: Transparency, Community Participation, and What's Ahead," links to this spreadsheet.
One month later, no further details have been shared.
Today, 161,122,310 new tokens increased our supply, with nearly 100,000,000 to be distributed to the community.
I love COTI and the project but I demand transparency as promised in the Medium article.

An hour of Coti Connect, and things are crystal clear—at least to @amateo .
For me, this was the worst Coti Connect I’ve seen in all the time I’ve been following it.
On top of that, there were some red flags.
I’m hitting the pause button, too.
COTI Connect: Community Livestream xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1PKqrNNav…
I can’t believe what I’m seeing.
For years many of us built, ran nodes, farmed, promoted, and defended this project. We were told we were the community. We were told gCOTI and the reward systems mattered. We stayed through every delay and every quiet period.
Now overnight they pause Earn, pause Nodes, pause the Treasury… and casually let gCOTI become worthless while millions of new COTI keep getting minted every few days.
“Enterprise focus.” “Privacy-on-Demand.” Nice words. But the message is clear: the people who actually carried this project for years are suddenly an inconvenience.
You don’t get to milk loyalty for years and then cut the rewards and call it “evolution” the moment it becomes inconvenient. That’s not strategy. That’s a straight-up breach of trust.
Long-time members didn’t sign up to be disposable the second the narrative shifts.
This one hurts.
After thinking about it for a few hours, it could actually be the biggest plot twist in Coti's history.
Naturally, I’m very disappointed after six years of build-up. However, under certain circumstances, it would make sense - let's wait and see what happens.

Connect the dots: COTI already announced a strategic partnership to bring 'Privacy-on-Demand' to RWAs.
Since COTI's PoD runs on Garbled Circuits, your findings of the PriorityFeeTunnelRouter and MpcExecutor are likely the exact cross-chain architecture they are using.
Also, notice the PrivatePayroll contract you found?
plume:native recently pushed a payroll pilot model paying in tokenized yield assets. Coincidence? I don't think so.
The plumbing you found is exactly what makes private corporate payroll on a public L1 possible.
Stay ethereum:0xddb3422497e61e13543bea06989c0789117555c5
I spent the past week reading @COTInetwork explorers contract by contract instead of waiting for announcements. Here is the full picture, from the chain only.
The Privacy on Demand launch is being assembled in real time. The cross chain tunnel (PriorityFeeTunnelRouter) is live on mainnet with 18,000+ rehearsal transactions, relay bots pinging it every two minutes. The new privacy bridges for all 7 tokens were redeployed on mainnet 5 days ago. On testnet, the core stack went up and got verified within hours: Inbox, MpcExecutor, PriceOracle, and a factory literally named PodErc20CotiMother that mints private versions of any ERC20. A PrivatePayroll demo is already deployed. Audit fixes are visible on GitHub. My read: this launches in weeks, not months.
A first micro ecosystem is appearing too: VeilDex (named in COTI's own 2026 roadmap), a private OTC escrow called ChainWhisper, an NFT auction house, a Wisp bridge. Tiny numbers, but real names, and all in categories where garbled circuits are irreplaceable.
Now the other side. The single most active contract on COTI mainnet is FixedRatioCoinDisperser: 103,019 transactions and a 15.1M $COTI pool. Its job is redeeming Earn points for COTI. The biggest user of this chain is still the machine paying people to use it. Someone redeemed 40,000 COTI worth of points three days ago.
So here is where COTI actually stands: serious plumbing about to launch, an economy still running on subsidies, and a token at $24M that prices in nothing. Two things decide what happens next: a named third party chain or protocol at the PoD launch, and a clear answer on how PoD revenue reaches the token.
The chain does not lie. The next few weeks will tell us everything.
No update, no word on the current status, nothing.
And I, the total idiot, am still waiting. 😅

Up continuously since 6 weeks.
I have now decided to shut down my node today, as I no longer want to bear the costs on my own.
@COTInetwork has repeatedly promised that the nodes are "just around the corner" and "coming really soon," but unfortunately, I can no longer rely on that.
Since things have become very quiet again regarding the nodes, and I can't expect them to arrive in Q1 or Q2 as repeatedly promised, I and several long-term community members have lost a lot of trust as a result. To be honest..
I love Coti and will always stick with it, but this truth is part of the picture, too.
Have a nice Weekend everyone!
