Everyone says they’d pay more for “Made in the USA.”
I tested it.
We make a $129 filtered showerhead manufactured in China. With tariffs surging to 170%, we explored reshoring. We found a U.S. supplier. Our costs nearly tripled.
I ran a clean A/B test:

It's becoming clear that @Salt_Project_OS has been abandoned by @Broadcom following their acquisition of @VMware.
The ideal outcome would be for another organization that heavily uses #SaltStack to take over the project, or at least fork it. @Cloudflare? @LinkedIn? @digitalocean? Anyone else?

It costs around $50 million every year to ensure Signal is robust and available all over the world for anyone whenever they need it.
And as a nonprofit, that money comes from all of you; the people who believe that we all deserve a place to speak freely.

Apple, I gotta be honest with you.
I respect how difficult it is to ship products & I genuinely don’t mean to put too much negativity out into the world…
But you need to revert the changes to the ‘Photo’ app…
> Difficult & unintuitive to navigate
> No way to distinguish the differences in entry points and sections
> Dumping WAY TO MUCH info into one page. Etc.
It is the worst UI I have ever seen.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens when the coal rollers find out the future is autonomous electric vehicles.
So, @elonmusk, will the Department of Government Efficiency start by killing the $6 trillion per year of subsidies the oil & gas industry receives?
If the EV tax credits are going away the oil & gas subsidies should as well. What's fair is fair.
Replying to @ruthbenghiat
Why are you perpetuating propaganda concocted by the oil & gas industry to distract you from the 6 trillion dollars per *year* of subsidies those companies receive?

Just replace everyone's HW3 with HW4 or give us our money back. It's clear HW3 is not going to be able to get to level 5.
It's such a shame what has been happening with the SaltStack project over the last few years.
The decline began when the original SaltStack Inc was sold to VMware, and then accelerated when Broadcom bought VMware.
The "Long Term Support" version is supported for... 18 months. It feels like these changes are a subtly way for Broadcom to push people away from software they don't want to continue maintaining. #SaltStack
Heads up!
A disruptive change is about to happen with Salt packages repository:

Seriously? This is the message you want to send to prospective customers?
Tesla makes cars that are incredibly fun to drive. Why on Earth would you want to minimize that fact, especially when FSD is not ready for prime time yet?
Utterly weird how this post had good traction in the first few minutes, and then completely dropped off. What is it about the content of this post that is different?

I've driven ~120k miles on FSD across the USA and Canada since October 2019. I personally love FSD and use it every day, but almost everyone I know who has FSD won't use it because it still makes too many mistakes for them.
I've experienced its entire evolution. Recent progress is very cool, but I still cannot leave my house in any direction without having to disengage within three blocks. FSD still cannot read signs. It cannot respond to school buses or emergency vehicles. It still blasts through school zones without a hint of awareness. It still randomly freaks out on the highway, or misses exits. It cannot handle toll booths. Speed control remains laughably bad on all types of roads, but especially small back roads. FSD is woefully inconsist with understanding what is allowed with respect to right turns on red.
FSD cannot learn dynamically like a human in that if a human screws up an unknown interchange, they muddle their way through it and make a mental note of how to do it better the next time. FSD has no such ability. FSD still cannot see or avoid potholes. Speed bumps are a crapshoot each time you approach one. FSD still largely drives blind to anything it doesn't know about, which is very unlike a human and which leads to very dangerous situations where FSD is confident but wrong.
I still cannot tell FSD where exactly I park in my condominium parking lot. FSD is still unable to dynamically adjust to changing scenarios where switching driving profiles would be beneficial, like snow, ice, and stop and go traffic. For example, if you drive on FSD into a snow squall, as I have, a human knows to slow down and to be aware that traction limits have changed. FSD does not adjust like that. If you are in aggressive mode and find yourself in heavy stop and go traffic, FSD will be an incompetent jerk driver switching lanes incessantly for no viable reason. It should just chill out and go with the flow, but, no, you have to manually go into the FSD settings and change the setting to chill.
Monday in Baltimore, FSD was going to hit a construction sign that was jutting out into the lane. Another example of being confident but wrong because it was blind to that sign for some reason.
Double lane roundabouts are another crapshoot. It simply doesn't know which lane to be in most of the time. When it finds itself in the wrong lane, it barges across lanes cutting off other vehicles.
Again, I personally love using FSD, but I am an early adopter with high tolerance for testing, iterative development, and less-than-perfect software. I am in a very small club, tho. The vast majority of people simply won't put up with these weaknesses and FSD surely cannot transition to unsupervised until the majority of these issues are addressed. Cc @teslasi , @chuckcook
Hey @TomMarshall111, I got married this weekend and you inspired a part of the ceremony!
My groomsmen and I entered to a string trio performing 'I Am Hydrogen', but based on the demo version you posted to SoundCloud long ago, played at #Phish's tempo.

The demo version of 'I Am Hydrogen' on SoundCloud is one of my all time favorites pieces of music, and was the ringtone on my phone for years. Thank you for sharing that!

An incredible musician and an even better human. Thankful for the music Trey's helped provide throughout my lifetime, the genuine kindness he's shown to people in real life, and for what he's now doing beyond the Phish community with the Divided Sky Foundation. Happy birthday 🎈

One of my favorite Kris Kristofferson stories is this interaction he had with Toby Keith (“the Star” in the story) that Ethan Hawke told Rolling Stone about in 2009
RIP to a total badass

This is trash. I will never buy a car that listens to my conversations just to serve me ads.
My phone, computer, tablet, and digital assistants always do that. Enough is enough 🤣
