We are beyond exhausted, yet we must keep speaking up.
One day, when God asks us what we did while the forests were burning and wildlife cried out in agony, may we be able to say that WE DID NOT STAY SILENT. We spoke up for those who could not speak for themselves.
May the Kiraman Katibin bear witness that WE DID NOT LOOK AWAY while the forests of Kalimantan, Sumatra, and Papua burned, while wildlife lost their homes, and while countless lives were put at risk.
We may be exhausted, but we will keep speaking up. Because the forests, the wildlife, and the people affected deserve to be heard.
