If you continue with this diplomatic approach and keep promoting diplomacy in the face of the political rascality of the APC, then I will be left with no other choice than to believe that you are not yet ready to fight for the people’s mandate in 2027.
Sir, you cannot claim to be advocating for and fighting for the people’s mandate while continuing to approach every situation diplomatically, especially when dealing with people who have repeatedly demonstrated that they do not understand or respect diplomacy.
At least, what happened in 2023 should have opened your eyes to the fact that the kind of rascality displayed by the APC does not require diplomacy every time. There are situations where diplomacy is appropriate, but there are also situations where firmness, courage and a more aggressive political response are necessary.
What happened in Benue State must not be allowed to happen again. We cannot continue to watch these things unfold and respond as though everything can be resolved through diplomacy.
There are times when you use soft power. There are times when you use hard power. And there are times when you use both, depending on the situation. That is how politics works, even in international relations.
Sir, if you are truly prepared to fight for the people’s mandate in 2027, then there must come a point where you stop being overly diplomatic in the face of political rascality and show that you are ready to confront it head on.
Everything cannot be diplomacy.
2027 must not be 2023 repeated.

Most of those who participated in that poll, don’t be surprised if they don’t have voter cards, don’t know where their polling units are, or won’t even vote. The people who will ultimately pull the most votes are not online. Some of them might not even have phones to know what is going on here.
That’s why grassroots campaigning is not a joke. The villagers, market women, truck pushers, and many others who aren’t here online are the ones who can make a significant difference when the votes are eventually counted.
