Yes, hold your governor to account but don’t forget that the Federal Government still consumes 52% of our resources. 36 state governors only share 28% and 774 LGAs only share 20%. Even if states were to control all LGA funds, that would still be 48% divided among 36 governors while the Federal Government alone consumes 52%. That’s why the Federal Government can afford to triple the number of agencies it has since the Oronsaye Report from 541 in 2012 to more than 1600 in 2016. That is why the Federal Government can even afford to have fake agencies.

Uber @uberng is gone from Nigeria after 12 years. I am not surprised. This market punishes platforms that assume trust. The company built the marketplace, while the driver shows up and asks the rider to go offline, keeping the full fare. Zero work locating the passenger! 100% of the money treated as entitlement. This is not government or economy or market forces, it's culture! We are too comfortable circumventing the system that made the transaction possible. Bolt, inDrive & others will inherit the demand and the same leak. Uber also never gave riders a reason to stay honest, no real loyalty, no rewards. For example after 10 trips, a free trip. Customers were not incentivized for refusing side deals. Localize or die! They obviously chose not to. Sad, but predictable!

Money is not about yachts. It is about options. Runway is the number of months you can survive with zero income. Most people, on any salary, have less than one. That single number quietly decides everything. Whether you can walk away from a toxic boss. Whether you can wait for the right deal instead of grabbing the desperate one. Whether a bad month becomes a bad memory or a catastrophe. Build the runway before you build the lifestyle. Six months of expenses saved will change how you speak in meetings, how you sleep at night, how much fear runs your decisions. Freedom is not a big number in the future. It is a small buffer, right now, that lets you say no. Start with one month. Then three. The confidence arrives long before the wealth does.

Time is moving faster than you think. 2027 is less than 6 months away. COVID was more than 6 years ago. 2007 is already further away than 2040. Those born in 1990 are only 14 years away from turning 50. 2016 was 10 years ago. Time doesn't stop for anyone, make every moment count.

Updated: in the course of the rescue operation, eight of the kidnappers were arrested and are now in DSS custody, while some of them were neutralised. There was no quid pro quo in the rescue as one of the terrorists, a kingpin, that the kidnappers demanded his release, is being prosecuted for his atrocities. The security agencies will give full account soon.

Ofili is not the first Nigerian star to change flags. Over the last few decades, several athletes have made similar decisions: Obikwelu (Portugal), Gloria Alozie (Spain), Ekpo-Umoh (Germany), Salwa Eid Naser (Bahrain) and Femi Ogunode (Qatar), among others.insidethegames.biz/articles/…

Here is what I think contributed to the ATM era's fall and why I believe the POS era has come to stay. Stay with me as I cook:
How did we go from an ATM economy to a POS economy in one year? 🤯🤯🤯
